I had a quick look in tescos and dunnes last for glucose and couldnt find it-I was looking in the same section as the sugar and sweeteners and no luck.
Anyone else ever come across it or should I be looking elsewhere?

You may find it in the baking section, near the flour, with likes of caster sugar and that. That's were I remember it being when I worked in SuperValu years ago.

Edit: I just checked tesco online and its not listed there which seems strange so I checked shamrock who I think were the brand who supplied it and on their website no sign of it either, might have trouble getting hold of it.

The other option might be a chemist.

i'm sure ive seen it in tescos around the health food bars/slimfast/supplements but you should be able to pick up glucose easily enough in any pharmacy if not in the tesco pharmacy section

Tesco Artane and Omni definitely sell it. It's in the Home Baking section and comes in a 1kg orange-and-white bag.

Only €1.50 ar so as well IIRC; way cheaper than the supplement stores who market it as dextrose as if it's a different product.

Tesco Rathmines definetely has it. I think it's 1kg bag, Shamrock brand and cost something between €1 and €2 euro.

Only ever in the baby section in my tesco, sometimes not even with the babyfoods but up with creams etc.

Some home brew places sell it cheaply too, though sometimes its a mix of sucrose & glucose/dextrose.

I bought some in Holland & Barrett last week, 500g for about €1.50.

It's on the Tescos website, the orange 500g shamrock bag that's been mentioned. It says it's €1.49.

Hiya, you can buy the glucose/dextrose sweets in most pharmacies.

BTW what do you want it for?

    Great stuff cheers everyone.
Im off the milk for the summer, planning on leaning up some and getting back my 2 pack! :D
I was a weak as hell the 1st time I went in without 1l of milk in me so going to throw it in a shake preworkout. Ive used sugar so far and it works fine but I read from a few sources that the fructose in table sugar goes to replacing both muscle and liver glycogen equally whereas glucose is will replace muscle glycogen 1st.
It might be guff it might not but when its that cheap to buy no harm giving it a go!

search the boards for locations, for me I found it in the big spar supermarket between Dundrum and Stillorgan, there are 2 spars only the big spar nearer Stillorgan stocks it.
Tesco in Dundrum doesn't stock it. There is a small shop in Goatstown that stocks it too, but it isn't always in. I usually buy ten bags at a go and fill up my old whey containers with it.

Just after finding it-it was over with the baking stuff, pretty easy to miss as there was only a few bags
