this game could be tough. Newcastle are not a bad side at all. Theres a fair bit of fight in them.

Andy to come off the bench and get a last minute goal :D

Good to see Johnson is back! Come on Dirk, get me a brace!

this should be a home win. We have a good record of beating them at anfield and them doing a lge double over us would never do. We have been playing well enough to go into this game with a bit of confidence, 3-0
Glad to see johnson back but I hope Robinson gets a late run, the more experience this year the better. Kuyt, Carroll and Meireles.

Liverpool should take this based on their current form but we'll have a go and might nab a goal.
Shola will present a physical challenge to either of 'Pools CB's and Lovenkrands could find himself in the right positions at the right times, as he usually does. Whether he can finish or not is another question.

As long as Carroll doesn't score, or have anything to do with any Liverpool goal I'll be happy :D

I would say 3-0 Liverpool, but being the optimist I'll go 0-0 or 1-1 :D

I'm going for a 2-0 home win and Dirk to get the first

    Fingers crossed:)

Also with Spurs losing yesterday, Liverpool have a great incentive to go out and win this one. 3-0 Liverpool - Kuyt 2 & Carroll 1 would be ideal

Be interesting to see how Liverpool respond to the Spurs defeat, something to play for at least today !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

We gotta score in the first 15\20 minutes if we have any hope but I reckon this could be a draw. If Liverpool are in Man City form then we are f*cked. If we are in the form we played against Liverpool last year then there will be no stopping us. Could really go either way.

You know clearing the ball properly when they had the chance stops these "jammy" things from happening. (not turnign your back on a shot is another helpfull way)

**** ya Maxi, I had Suarez first scorer today:pac: Great start!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,160 ✭✭✭tok9

    Maxi Again! 1-0

I'm actually delighted for him too. He was getting a lot a stick in the 1st half of the season.

I have Suarez anytime scorer and Liverpool to win so finger crossed

Also a cheeky 3-0 bet so hoping for more goals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Absolutely shocking, worse than the stoke performance.

Lads when you can keep your eye on Flanagan .

His positional play is spot on and he is quality !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

i suppose the double handball that Simpson got away with against blackpool has come back to haunt him with that deflection.

This could be a drubbing today, not pretty.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,455 ✭✭✭anplaya

any decent links lads, cant find one

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,968 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Ooooooooooooooh! Spearing shot then Meireles nearly able to knock in the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Fair play lads, Liverpool are working like beavers. Work rate then ye don't have the ball is similar to the City performance which is very worrying. Hate to say it but Waddle is right we need another midfielder in there and MacLoven needs to go.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,799 ✭✭✭bluefinger

midfield and defence are playing very well, reina might not have turned up.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,968 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Lucas sounds like he is slightly bumbling in the tackle today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

Great stuff there, brilliant ball in and Ameobi clears the ball for ye.

Unbelievably bad. Kevin Kilbane is on co commentary, but the guy doing the actual commentary is basically just interviewing him. He's barely mentioning the game at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,723 ✭✭✭bazual

haha Joey doing the "alright, alright, calm down!!!"
