Unusual growth on sheeps back

    I treated one of my ewes for an infestation of maggots today.
    It was located on her back on her spine.
    When i trimmed the wool back i discovered a large growth similar to a horn on her spine.
    it is about 1" and a half in diameter.
    It is weeping fluid ,which led to the infestation.
    I have no idea what to do .
    The vet wiil be with me on Tuesday , but i am very concerned
    Has anybody seen this type of thing before, I have searched the net to no avail.
