After Chelsea Result today Manchester United will need to get something out of this game, the thing is they dont need to win, a draw will do. I am expecting united to go with 4-4-1-1, with the same line up as against schalke with perhaps Anderson in for Giggs,

    Prediction: 2-2

I'd say Arsenal will throw the kitchen sink at United, lose this game and its season over for them.

This has a chance of being a full blooded old fashioned Arsenal v United game in the Keane/Viera mould based on how much is riding on this game.

The last few years have seen less intense games between us and Arsenal but I can see Arsenal wanting to lay down a marker, and with nothing left to play for after this game should they lose I think it'll be a hot tempered affair.

As for the result, I couldn't hazard a guess, it could be 0-0 or 5-5.
After todays comical antics at Stamford Bridge I have a bad feeling that Arsenal will win this game and throw the title race wide open.
I'm hoping that doesn't turn out to be the case.

    Glazers Out!

United win by shenanigans.....to be followed by cries of 'Karma' 'swings and roundabouts' and all other posts of justification from the usual suspects who complained about todays Chelsea game.

I want Arsenal to win but truth be told they are a soft team. United are a solid outfit.

Evra is there to be exploited by Arsenals pace given his recent performances, however. Van Persie will cause a bit of trouble to Rio if he's playing because Rio has been plagued with injury and looks a touch sluggish.

I'd expect United to at least get the draw if not win. I'm hoping Arsenal do it though so the Chelsea/United game will actually be decent.

You were wrong for the Schalke and Everton games as you predicted they would both be draws so I'm counting on you continuing in the same vein here;)

Starting lineups, I'd expect something like this.

Arsenal; Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy, Song, Wilshere, Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott, Van Persie

Man Utd; van der Sar, Rafael, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Park, Anderson, Carrick, Nani, Valencia, Rooney,.

I expect Giggs and Hernandez to be rested and Fabio to be rotated with either Rafael or O'Shea(probably Rafael for pace)

There's also the possibility that he will rest Ferdinand and play Smalling/Evans. 3 games in a week might tempt saf to rest him, although he hardly broke sweat in the last two, so he will probably play.

Hernandez may play, but there was talk of him being rested for the Everton game last week, and he has played two in a row since and saf likes to match up with Arsenal's 4-3-3. Question mark there I feel.

I don't see Berbatov starting, although he may make a contribution from the bench.

I think the Arsenal team almost picks itself unless he goes for Arshavin over Walcott.(I don't think he will).

United will definitely win. Probably 2 or 3-0 as usual.

Can't wait for this game. Should be a cracker. United to win 2-0 hopefully anyways.

With Arsenals obvious frailties and Uniteds abysmal away form this season, a draw seems the most likely outcome.

I expect Arsenal to play a high line, so if Hernandez starts, he could have a field day against them(odd thing to say I suppose after predicting a draw).

Cant see past Man Utd for a comprehensive victory today.

Fergie knows exactly how to go about beating Arsenal. Im thinking 3 nil.

Expect Hernandez to slot a goal or 2 in and of course Park will get on the score sheet

Would love it if Arsene freshened things up and played a 442 but that aint gonna happen though.

    Roll on the summer break

Id be amazed if United won 3 nil. I'm sure you could get some handsome odds on it if you really believe it.

I think we should go with our best team today and thats the team that played against schalke with perhaps anderson in for giggs, I really dont see the need to rest players for this game , the game last tuesday was 5 days ago, alot of times the turn around is only 3 days from wednesday to saturday , plus the game was like a practice match and lastly we have gotten a great result,no if we want to rest players the schalke game is the one to do it in, there is no way schalke will come back from 2-0 nil down at old trafford even if we make a few changes, this game today is too important to go resting players in

    Team today

    VDS

    Rafael(if fit)----Ferdinand----Vidic----Evra

    Valencia
    Carrick
    Giggs
    Park

    Rooney

    Hernandez

    Team Wednesday

    Rafael----Smalling
    Vidic
    Evra

    Valencia
    Fletcher
    Scholes
    Nani

    Anderson

    Berbatov

That team wednesday would be more than enough to get through the game and would give the players not playing plenty of rest time for the chelsea game, the great thing about the next 3 games is that we dont have to win any of them, 3 draws would do, all we have to do is defend deep, let the other team have the ball and catch them on the break, we dont have to go chasing these games at all, its like we are 1 nil up already

I hate that attitude. If United look at it like that both Arsenal and Chelsea will beat them.

it will be interesting how the players play, knowing an injury could rule them out of the cl final. will they still play all out?

Yes, this game will be approached like any other game. PL takes precident over CL every day of the week.

I'm hoping United go all out for a win today. If things had gone differently against Schalke I would understand there being a different approach to today's game. Hoping for a United 2-1 win, Rooney and Chico.

United have some momentum in them, especially from the Schalke match but I'm gonna go with an Arsenal win. We are due a win so why not today. I do think we will see some good performances from our players. However I do expect controversy in the match, depending on either how either team play and win.

Looking forward to this game and hopefully another win. I expect Berbatov to start ahead of Javier.

Most of all i just want the team to continue playing with the confidence they have done the last few games as it will be very important if we reach the Champions league final.

Pressure off Arsenal = Best performance of the season. Too little too late from their point of view, but a win nonetheless. You just know Arsenal are going to win, its one of those gamnes with an air of inevitability around it.

Apparently Fabregas broke up with long term girlfriend the other day. Good call by the manager if his heads not in the game. Not that he has ever set the world alight in top games by any means.

    Step up, Rambo.
