Kai Green never liked eating immediately before training, he felt the blood in his stomach digesting food was wasted when it could be in his muscles lol :D

I don't ever really set out to specifically eat something before they gym I just usually go in the mourning after breakfast or after lunch..If I'm hungry before I'd have some fruit.

Try to go in the morning as early as possible so something like peanut butter on wholegrain, some fruit and Jack3d,iif it's later just a tuna, spinach, cheese and tomato sandwich.

Pint of milk and maybe some eggs. I go to the gym on my lunch break, so it's a 30 minute workout, max. That means hitting it pretty intensely if i want anything out of the workout. I need some fuel, but a with a full belly 'twould be unpossible.

Afterwards, another pint of milk, a protein shake, and well, lunch of course. :)

    3pm Nuts
    5pm Protein shake
    6.30pm gym

I train in the morning for the most part, so: tin of tuna, scrambled eggs, spinach and mug of black coffee.

I'm also a morning trainer so don't eat anything other than 3 Weetabix.

Is eating a lot of protein so soon before training beneficial? Is it not afterwards that eating protein is important? Surely something like eggs/chicken will just sit in your stomach?

how's your experimentation goin with sugar?do you find you crash post workout at all?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,660 ✭✭✭G86

    Monster Lo Carb FTW:D

If I'm hungry I have something small like a banana beforehand, but I don't really eat much before training, I'd only feel sick in the session. I have lunch at 1, some nuts or oatcakes around 4 and then training at 6/7.

No sugar crash at all, possibly I fixed my metabolism somewhat when I lost the weight. I just have so much more energy, spontaneously doing chinups at home which almost never happened before :)

Usually a banana and yoghurt or maybe porridge. assuming I havent had a meal beforehand. I prefer to have eaten less but ensure I have the right food to fuel me

I train in the mornings immediately after breakfast: 4 eggs, a bowl of porridge and maybe a shake. Then another shake immediately after training. Lovely :D

I eat at regular times and don't account for training in my mealtimes. As in I don't eat just cos training is coming up.
I eat at 7.30/13:30/18:30/22:30 - regardless of when i train

Just an FYI, but it is against the forum chater and pretty much frowned upon on all forums on boards.ie to question a Moderator decision on a thread.

Most moderators would I think be happy to answer your question, but IMO and as per the gereral posting guidlines and forum charter it should be asked via PM and not on a thread. On some forums this could earn you an infraction/ban also.

As per the last line in my Sig, if you consider my post above to be back seat modding then please feel free to use the report.gif icon on the bottom left of my post to bring it to the forum moderators attention.

Because he was trolling in multiple threads. He was later banned. If you have a problem with the infraction then report it.

No more discussion of this in the thread please , PM me if you have a problem
