Yes it works very well. I'd love to see a queue or at least a quick launcher to previous shows. It's not quite full screen as the iPad title bar remains in view. No air play support either. But overall, it's great. What's keeping RTE!?

iPad 1. Worked straight away. I did register when requested. Don't know if that made any difference. The quality really is excellent. Oh and accessing it through wifi.

Isn't working for me at home (network unavailable or something like that) but works in my parents. It has to be ports blocked on the router or something.

It's a good app; just needs more content to be great. Hopefully that's only a matter of time.

It works fine for me on 3G (O2 mifi and Vodafone mobile tethering) but get the 'data unable' when using Eircom wifi.

Eircom customer here and not working for me either, but worked perfectly at the weekend in a hotel on their network (Don't know if it was non eircom or not).

Is this app working for any eircom broadband customers??????

Defo something to do with eircom broadband or router - works perfectly for me on Meteor Mifi Broadband.

Worked for me when I first downloaded it, yesterday (UTV broadband)' but not working today.

Actually, seems to have stopped working for me now. No error or anything, I just click on a link for a programme, it brings up the banner for the programme, but that it, no attempted buffer or anything. Strange.

Doesn't work for me on utvip, but with the standard eircom netopia router, so I'm assuming it's some port or service blocked by default. Must google today.

I updated to 4.3.2 and since I did my 4od app is playing but there's no sound.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Yes positive. Every other app with sound is working.

Oh will be so disappointed if I've screwed this up.:(

Unistalling and reinstalling haven't fixed it either.

EDIT : ok I feel stupid now. I did have the little sound lock on the side of the iPad set to mute. Oddly it only affected one app.All fixed now. Thank you!

Any progress on the Eircom router thing? I've got Eircom at home and the app doesn't work, but we've got imagine or something in work and it's fine

Best advice with that router is to give it the boot and get a new one if you have the zyxel.

Mine won't work on Eircom router from home, works perfectly in work. I didn't update the iOS or anything. Evidence stacking up against eircom router.

Here is the fix for the eircom issue

I couldn't understand why it would work over 3G for some and on other irish isp but not on eircom. It wasnt related to one type of eircom modem either, so it had to be a settings issue.

the simple answer is to change the DNS settings from eircom to Google

from 192.xxx.x.xxx to 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4

to help those change the settings on your pc or mac all you have to do is google: google DNS and they have a page telling how. on the iPad its self
its Settings>WiFi> and open the settings for your wifi and type in the new DNS settings and away you go

Sorry if this is a stupid question but can you leave these new DNS settings all the time, or do you have to change back to the eircom ones for other apps?

Google is an open DNS that anyone can use. so it will work with all the apps. i have had the Google DNS on my mac and ipad for days now without any issues

Its unlikely that you will need to change them for other apps to work.

That said, its really unnecessary that you should need to have to change them for this to work...

I love 4OD and would love this on my iPad. I went to download it the other day but all of the comments said that it didn't work in Ireland. Is this not the case?

Channel 4 themselves claim that it works nowhere other than the UK, but I have it working in both Ireland and Belgium.
