great app, much better than meteors own app for this, so easy to use, and having it as a widgit is how it should be

Android 2.3 HTC Desire Not Working

Using a HTC Desire with CM7 installed.
Works brilliantly.

One thing I would like to add is the web text left.
You could maybe do this as an option so that people can try it and if it does not look good they can turn it off.
I know that on my Desire there is more then enough play room to add about 5 more lines of text without any hassle.
And for smaller phones, just let them keep it off.

tap on it, then hit the middle button. ( force update, restarts the thread )

android sometimes gets a bit over enthusiastic killing things off.

Also just to make sure there is no issue on your end, change the update interval to 1 minute,
turn on notifications temporarily, and see if it just doing as expected

( it will seem like 30 - 40 seconds between updates, as by the time the first one finishes some time has elapsed )

1) At the top of the list, remove my smug face
2) Add ( web texts left ) counter
3) provide ability to use system themes
4) update on wake up from sleep
5) minimize the size of install

Great app. Well done. I've been waiting for this. Can't understand why meteor haven't got the finger out and made a widget. Actually I do... incompetent shower. Looking forward to updates.

Not working on HTC Legend running 2.2.

Widget on the homescreen seems a little squished up and I cant see the details of my account. Also a lot of FC's when trying to change settings.

Another suggestion is a re-sizeable widget.

i.e. make it 2x2 or 2x3 or 2x4 etc or have a user option to choose the size.

I like it to be in the centre of my screen and it wont do that for me at the moment as it soff to the left or right

Hi so there seems to be a problem with word press at the moment showing up blank posts to fire fox users in some instances. possibly internet explorer also.

while your waiting you can checkout the code using svn

svn checkout http://www.feeditout.com/amw ./

if your using windows, or macos x, there are many clients such as tortoisesvn that can do this for you

or use google chrome

Not working on HTC Hero CM6.1.0. Android 2.2.1
Seems to go through all the motions of logging in, retrieving data, updated. But the widget still shows no info.

Working ok on Desire CM7.

hi thanks for your feedback, i'm beginning to really wonder whats the story with these apparents 'bugs'

whether its with particular user roms ( cynogen etc ), or some other software your running.

please make sure your using the latest widget, and there are no auto kill applications or what not that could be interfering with it!

wildfire and hero etc, may have some issues, but desire ( HD ) 2.2 and 2.3 are reporting thumbs up!

Lol its on the first page of the preferences 'update notifications', turn it off

as for the fonts, i'm not sure whats on 2.2, ill have to check it out.

there will be updates in about 2 weeks, regarding themes, #
specifically addressing file size and better integration on small screens.

Its working on my Desire (running 2.2) but the better half has a Legend and it aint working. Looks like a screen size issue but its a bit weird.

Oh and please dont pull 2.2. support - I think most users are still running 2.2 especially if we are not rooted as I dont think most phones have been updated past 2.2 yet (I would hazard a guess at about 75% of us being on 2.2 and below - maybe I am wrong)

Test results

Platform : 2.2
screen size : 3.2 inch (Legend Details)
widget version : 2.27

woo, looks a bit odd alright

Ill have to do some reading into the legend, to see whats different about it.

In the next release ill add the ability to use a simple widget theme, while i en devour to figure out how to get consistency between the different phones

you need better theme support, 2 weeks and i release an update to accommodate smaller screen sizes

Is there any way you could just upload the apk to rapidshare etc?

not sure why you want the apk exactly

you can't edit it like, once its made, even the unsigned versions make a specific header that ensures non tampering ( the size and offset of the files ) in the apk.
the java files are stored in a DEX file which you would have to decode.

I'm sure there are ways to do it like, but i fail to see why you want to go through this trouble

say the word and i'll upload it.....

I don't want to edit it. I just want to use it.
