    Hi all,

I know this sounds weird, or stupid, and I know that it was easter, but how is is physically possible for me to consume an extra 10,500 calories to put up 3.5lbs.

I had a party on Friday night, and the only extra I drank was 2 bottles of wine over an eight hour period and believe me I did not each much the next day, but did drink 55 million litres of water? I have also been walking for 6 days for 45 minutes at a fast pace.

I'm not being whiney, I would love actually love to know the science about how you can worse your ass off to loose 1 or 2lbs a week and then have one blow out and put up 3.5 in one night that is now going to take another 2 weeks to loose?

    Thanks for any advice.

    from a quick google

It's normal for your body to fluctuate a half a stone at any given time depending on food transit and hydration amongst a 100 other factors.

If you're clothes are not tighter and measurements the same, don't be worrying

you think that you've put on 3.5lbs of fat in a day? try water. glycogen in muscles. or a combination of both. 55 million litres of water weighs 55 million kg, so it's surprising you kept your weight gain down to 3.5lbs :pac:

3.5lb is only 1.59L of water. I can easily put on 3.5lb in a few minutes.

Don't just track weight, track measurements, take photos etc. Get some old well washed (and hence preshrunk) jeans, these act as measuring tapes all down your legs.

    Ah, OK,

I don't feel too bad now. Here is me thinking, OK, I've had copious amounts of alcohol and feeling dehydrated, lets try to sensible and get some water back into my system.

So I was sipping all day, and a lot of it, it wasn't like I was at the sick glugging pints of water at a time LOL.

Thanks metamorphosis - the website you gave me is very interesting. I shall keep the head up and walking and watching the weight.
