should be good droppin june 14th not too long away, looks like the interscope move was good for royce and slaughterhouse, royce has a solo album coming soon aswell.

Welcome to the best of both worlds. Now that Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″ are back on the same page, the pair are set to release an EP inspired by their 1999 collaboration, Bad Meets Evil. The project is set to drop on June 14th through Interscope and will feature production from D-12′s Mr. Porter, Havoc, DJ Khalil, Bangladesh and others. Here’s what Em had to say:

“Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are."
    As for Royce:

“I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it while we’re working on the ‘Monster’ that will be the Slaughterhouse album.

ye very good news, the first song came out today its the first single as far as i know and its produced by eminem, its pretty good both em and royce go back and forth trading verses on here.

its good that the single isnt too commercial sounding something i taught could happen with it being an a eminem album.

shady/aftermath aswell as interscope have a pretty big list of hip hop albums coming this summer/winter, looks like this is going to kick it off.

looks like the lp isnt called bad meets evil afterall, release date is just around the corner either way which is good.

Rapper Eminem has revealed the name of his highly anticipated EP collaboration with Royce Da 5'9 will be titled Hell: The Sequel.

Eminem took to his Twitter account last night (May 2nd) to alert fans that he would be announcing the EP title around midnight.

True to his tweet, Eminem dropped the title in a simple message to his 4,081,120.

The album, which has been almost a decade in the making, is due in stores on June 14th.

Hell: The Sequel features production D12's Mr. Porter, Mobb Deep's Havoc, Bangladesh, DJ Khalil and others.

Em often s**ts on other rappers when sharing a track with them, won't happen with Royce.

most defiantly, royce and em are 2 very Superior lyrical mc's to jay z and more so kanye.
Em often s**ts on other rappers when sharing a track with them, won't happen with Royce.

100 per cent agree i actually cant wait too see which one of the 2 come out the better on it to be honest, my moneys on royce:D i think he has a lot more to prove than em as this is his 1st release on shady.

im starting to think the song writers block by royce ft eminem will be on the album too, it was rumored to be royce's first single on his solo album but it makes more sense really that its of the collab with eminem.

i think this is what you are on about boom bap, looking forward to hearing it.

writers block, for anyone who didnt hear of it. royce kills it. i love these few lines so smart and leaves you hanging you could easily look at it 2 ways as in a young buck (rapper) or as in a young rapper referring to him as a young buck and the game the rapper or the rap game in general.

N-ggas be quick to call me the new 50 Cent
Because of my relationship with Marshall
Used to make me a little partial, but here’s the brain f-ck
    We the same cuz
I’m probably about to fall out with a young buck
While I attempt to f-ck the f-cking game up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,431 ✭✭✭Hugh Cream

i dont think em will shyt on royce because it doesnt make sense for him to take all the shine on any project.
this is about both artists and should be judged as such rather than
    who >>>>> who.

the full interview with eminem and royce and slaughterhoue got aired today on mtv rapfix (mtv uk should show this by the way).

its a very long interview lads and there's no fast foward function but its a good listen and they cover a lot of topics not just the album, they also talk detox and the new shady 2.0 movement.

its not in youtube yet, its available to view here now which is good usually we cant view the american mtv shows on the internet (very rarely anyway)

in all cant wait for this album, eminem is coming to norther ireland in august too so dont be surprised to the whole shady 2.0 crew with him as part of promoting them.

building on from fast lane nicely, the mike epps sample is cool, again em and royce flowing so well together, in tandem, finishing each others lines, classic.

ye lighters is pretty good, was weary of this when i saw bruno mars on it but its alright a bit pop but i expected at least 1 or 2 songs like this, both em and royce verses are good though.

got this lighters on repeat, i seem to be in the minority as being one of only a few people liking bruno mars.
i hope royce finally gets the shine he deserves off of this album, this could actually be that song that makes it happen.

Link is dead now but just so you know linking to a page that links to an illegal download is still against the charter rules. Especially if you're going to tell people about said link.

Quality album, like Hugh said Reall Hip Hop! that Bruno Mars Lighters song really does't belong on a Bad Meets Evil album tho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭mufcboy1999

in all a great album enjoyed from start to finish, i think the other 2 chaps kanye and the jigga man are going to have a hard time beating this as far as best album from a duo or group this year.

Poor technique from Em with the football. He never got his knee over the ball at all. He better not quit the day job any time soon :P

I like the video though. The visuals are pretty cool and the video moves just as fast as the flow of the song which I think is a good move

i know what you mean, can understand, its a great track to me but i can see why people would say it feels out of place, but if theres one song that will blow up main stream its lighters.
maybe thats the idea with having it on there, maybe this is me being sentimental or what ever, but maybe em wants to see royce get his dues at last.

I'm waiting on the CD before I listen to it, I've heard I'm On Everything and Fast Lane so I'm looking forward to the rest of it. The video for Fast Lane is the best I've seen of an Eminem music video in a long time. But does anyone else think Royce is on much better form than Em on Fast Lane?

5'9 is on top form on everything I've heard, absolutely

Royce has been on top form since Street Hop,it's near time he got some major attention.

Royce is dope in the track, Em is dope as well (it's a long time since i've said that about him).
But that beat started annoying me after about 2 minutes, became gruelling after 3 minutes and then the tacky synth for the last 20 seconds made me never want to listen to this song again.
