Where do you lose fat/weight from first

I've been watching what i eat ( no sweets / crisps / bars etc) and exercising every day for the past 3 and a half weeks. I've also added more fruit to my diet and I use myfitnesspal.com ( ipod app) to watch what i eat I don't normally go over 1300cals a day.

    When i started i was 106kg. Now I'm 100kg :) happy so far.

But what i wanted to know is where you lose weight from first.

The main area i wanted to lose it from was my belly and chest.

Any tips on what else i should be doing to try lose the belly.

    I'm 28/Male.

What i normally do is this.

Mornings when I'm in work i walk my 2 dogs for 30 minutes.
In work i go to the gym for about 50 minutes. 20-25 walk/jog/run. I normally burn 220-250 cals and go a distance of 2.2 - 2.7km depends on how long i have.

then situps and some weights .. Not allot as I've to get back to work

On my days off i normally walk the dogs for over an hour. But dont normally do anything else... But i just got my cross trainer fixed so i'll be using that on my days off as well for about 30-40 minutes.

I know i wont get a six pack and I'm not looking for one.. I just want to reduce my belly lol.

Any tips would be great. Cheers.

Firstly, spot reduction doesn't exist. You'll lose fat all over your body gradually as you progress.

Secondly, I wouldn't advise running on a treadmill at your weight for cardio. It can be quite bad for your knees so instead if you have access to a swimming pool that would be far better or even a bike, otherwise brisk walking would be the best way forward. If you insist on running, then do it on grass to ease the stress on your knees.

Lastly, 6kg in 3 weeks is phenomenal, but I would eat a bit more that 1300kcal a day. You can cut out a lot of the fruit as most fruit (bar apples) are relatively high in sugar and you can replace these with vegetables which would be a lot more effective. Multiply your weight in pounds by 10, thats the amount of calories you need to maintain your current weight, and subtract 500 to lose weight consistently. You are now on a 900kcal deficit, which may be difficult to keep but if you can do it best of luck.

Running does hurt my shins and ankles... But now that i've got my cross trainer back i will mainly be using that.. That's the reason i got it,, Because of the impact of running. But my little gym at work doesn't have a cross trainer :(

I will be trying to swim once a week.

I use to eat all kinds of sh!t food.. like 2-3 bags of crisps a day.. 2-3 bars... and biscuits with my tea, Also i use to take 3 heaped spoons of sugar in my tea.(6-7 cups a day) .. thats all gone and i use sweeteners now. (choc and crisps where free in work... still are .. it's hard to resist .. but i do.)

Once i cut them out and ate breakfast/lunch/dinner and did my workouts i started losing weight.. now I'm fine with that i eat and I like working out..

Just have to move the belly fat !!

Maybe not this guy, just yet, but you can definitely be 100kg or so and very well able for plenty of running on a treadmill.

I'm 6'3" close to 100kg's and have been running 10-15 miles per week for 4 or 5 years. I still have my own knees.

Running shouldn't be too much of a problem if you take it slowly. Try a progressive regime, like Couch to 5k (google it!). They are designed to 'ease' you into walking. More people end up hurting their knees and shins because they try and run too much. It's better to do it gradually, like with Cto5k, by combining walking with jogging until you get used to jogging without stopping.

If you are going to run make sure to get your feet analysed, you can get this done at a lot of sports stores.
