    Hi all,

I never post here so sorry in advance if I ramble on. I noticed this morning a mole that I have has changed colour and size. To be honest I never even noticed this mole until last year and it was small and light brown,it then changed to a darker brown and this morning it looks very dark, raised (don't know if it is raised or if it's just pores) and gotten bigger than last year. I have a pic to post if ye want to see. Want to go to doc but not opened til Tuesday and I'm a but of a worrier and will do my head in til then! I used the sunbeds religiously for about 3 years non stop and stoppedd when I got a mole on my nose which eventually disappered.

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

I am going to see a doctor as I said he's not open until Tuesday. Simply looking for advice or if anyone had the same problem.

    READ THE RULES
YOU NOT ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT MEDICAL ADVICE

No Questions about Treatment of Injuries/ Requesting Medical Advice
As a whole boards.ie does not allow medical discussion and Fitness will be no different. Do not post threads about injuries or when you think you might be injured looking for advice. If you are injured go to a qualified medical professional for help, not the internet. Injuries can be incredibly difficult to diagnose, even when the person you are seeking help from is in the same room as you.

The only time we will allow the discussion of any injuries and how to overcome them is when the OP CLEARLY states in their first post that they have been to a professional, received advice and treatment and are looking for help with a rehab/prehab exercise.

I can understand you finding it hard to relax until Tuesday, but I doubt a couple of days will make any difference?
I have a friend who had a few moles removed for same reason (she is fine)and gets checked regularly as she has a lot of moles. Try not to worry- now that you've decided to go to the doc theres no point in tormenting yourself.

If its worring you that much pop into the nearest hospital and ask to get it removed. Waiting until tuesday certainly wont make any difference but its obviously worrying you.
    bring a book with you!

no hospital is going to do that on a walk in basis.

all the OP can do is go see their GP and take it from there.

I walked into vincents and got a mole taken off my back with no referral.

Your right though, probably best get gp referral to be on the safe side

    Obviously go to a doctor.

I have had a mole appear and get reasonably large and unusually shaped. It was fine. I think it is more likely to happen with benign moles during puberty and your teens because things are growing in general a lot, an skin stretches etc. Also I remember the doctor saying with reference to mine that if it is smaller than the fingernail on your little finger it is considered normal size - as a rule of the thumb.

Obviously this is not medical advice and you need to see a doctor about it. But yes these things do happen sometimes without any bad thing associated, so dont get too worried yet. Get just enough worried that you go to the doctor on Tuesday, and no more than that :)
