    LIVERPOOL v BIRMINGHAM (1500 BST)
Phil Dawkes reports: "This week, Lacrosse-loving leisurewear lot Warrior reportedly gave Liverpool fans 25m more reasons to be optimistic about the future. Three months ago, Anfield was a veritable misery-fest, but thanks to two strikers, a bit of youth and the return of the King, the Kop is grinning like Jack Nicholson on Oscar night. A win today maintains the Reds' hopes of snatching a Europa League spot. Birmingham boss Alex McLeish thinks City need one win to secure safety. A draw would make it eight stalemates on the bounce between these two. You sense McLeish would take that.

hard to see anything other than a liverpool win by a couple of goals, a few short months ago it would have been very different.

should be a comfortable pool win here, 2 or 3 nil

Id expect to win but birmingham have a bit of a hoodoo over us... 8 draws in a row. Its not a guaranteed win

Birmingham could cause some problems wouldn't be overly surprised with a draw although if Liverpool score more than 1 they'd be almost guaranteed a win.

Lucky that Jiranek is back, hopefully never have to see Ridgewell at CB again. No Ferguson is a loss, and a bit surprised that Fahey and Hleb are playing, were very poor on Wednesday. We will be lucky to get a draw but I think Liverpoll will win 2-0

The game is on Setanta 1 and also online for Eircom customers. Just in case anyone is trying to watch it on a link and has those options available to them.

Great to see Lucas supporting Robinson. Noticed it in the last game too, rarely lets him be 1v1.
