Nope - I presume they have concluded that the title race is over - Madrid match will be over by the time they broadcast it.

    Barça

Atleti should be beating Levante tomorrow night. Levante have been doing well but Atleti, on their day, are better. Hopefully, Costa will keep up his good run.

Madrid resting most of the players it seems - Only Casillas and Carvalho started wednesdays match.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Thought as much. Pity Barca do not have the same luxury. Though I do expect Thiago, Keita and Affellay to start.

Hope Valencia make mince meat out of them. A small injury to Casillas which would keep him oiut for, ohhhh, 10 days would be nice as well :p

Benzema just smashed the bar from about 8yds out.

    Madrid starting to dominate.

Observation - Canales I reckon wont last at Madrid.

There midfield is too strong and young enough to see to that.

He will have to go out on loan next season for his own sake.

    1 - 0

    Benzema

Keeping in mind this game started at 5 and Sky aint showing it til 7.30 for some reason Valencia Real

    That was just hilarious.

    Match fixing for sure.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

    Thats game over FFS.

He could do some serious damage over the 2 CLasicos :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭CR 7

    Kaka 3-0.

Unleash the CR7, I'd say. He could easily get 5 today.

Im no longer wasting my BB allowance watching that ROT.

Bit of pressure on Barca now at 7.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Sevilla-esque performance from Valencia - pathetic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,734 ✭✭✭CR 7

    Higuain 4-0.

    Crowd are not happy.:pac:

    Madrid absolutely devastating in attack.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

Thats all Barca need is a very confident Real going into the semis.

Did Valencia think they had this game won because of the 2nd string line up? Idiots.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

    Higuain 4-0.

    Crowd are not happy.:pac:
Can you blame them? If these players aren't even going to try, why don't they trot off at half time and stop wasting peoples time? If I was chairman, I would be hand one a fine of one weeks wages and refunding all the fans who had to pay to watch their team play this cack.

Madrid players look seriously fired up. Kaka is such a wonderful player, would love to see him feature in the Champions league games with Barca. Not sure that will happen though.

Why would they drop Ozil ?

Arguably there best player this season.

Could be the end of Emerys reign as well. Which would be daft, but thats Spanish football for ya

It's great that Higuaín is scoring again, oh and Kaká plus Benzema :D Bring on C.Ronaldo, he could get a hat-trick I reckon.

Does anyone have a reliable stream? (in either English or Spanish)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,435 ✭✭✭✭redout

Guard of honour for winning the Copa

That has got to be a first.

Winning the league is pretty much customary - never seen it for a cup win.

The way it is looking at the moment Real could skin Barca alive over the 2 legs. Hope they do.

This was working very well for me in the first half: http://www.veetle.com/index.php/channel/view#4b3a31f6e460c

    Commentators are fairly headwrecking though!

I think the size and strength of Madrid's squad is really showing now. Barça already had a fairly small squad and with the amount of injuries they have, Pep doesn't have the luxury of being able to rest players as he'd like.

I'm not suggesting they drop Ozil. I'd like to see Kaka being used as a substitute for either Ozil or Di Maria if they are not having a desired impact. Going on the last two games it looks like Adabayor is the impact player he likes from the bench.

Somewhat agree - Barça were blessed for the first half of the season injury wise.

The second half they havent been near as fortunate though they have run away with the league, final of Copa and Semi of Champions so can we really play that card ?

Seen a tweet that read "Not a great advertisement for La Liga" and completely agree. Not competitive at all when 2nd go 5-0 up away to 3rd after 53 mins

Erra, If Arsenal did that to Chelsea people woild big it up as a great "anything can happen in the Prem".

Take it for what it is - a Real Madrid masterclass.

It happens in football fro time to time

Arsenal aren't 17 points ahead of Chelsea however.

    Barça lineup:
Valdés, Alves, Mascherano, Milito, Maxwell; Thiago, Busquets, Keita; Villa, Jeffren, Afellay

Jesus, that line up is asking for trouble. Masch & Milito as CBs?

Ronaldo won't be happy. Valencia wait til he comes on to remember they're playing a game today.

Real Madrid have won, if Barca lose then it is down to 5 points. There is still 5 matchdays left after today...

I'm not saying anything for certain, but if Barca do lose..Osasuna can be a tough side.

Plus Real Madrid have a bigger squad, they can put the same team out next week before the 2nd Semi while Barca will still be stretched.
