Squat Technique and advice

Recently begun squatting and I must admit I love the exercise and am seeing real benefits from it but I have 2 questions about the exercise.

My aim is to build muscle and have some real definition and in the upper legs,

At the moment im squatting 3x10x80kg,
with 90 secs rest in between each set,
is this conducive to building muscle or would I be better off doing lower reps and adding more weight?

also I use a wide enough foot position and feel it more in my glutes and not so much in my quads, is their anyway to focus the exercise more on my quads and the fronts of my upper leg,

    Thanks

the narrower your stance is the more it works your quads-however it can also put more pressure on your back.
go to youtube and look up 'so you think you can squat?' its an excellent series-aimed at powerlifting but teaches great technique
