yes, normally they do, but this fight is a one off and needed one off negotiations, theoretically Sky Deutschland could have bid for it, OK everyone has expected it to be on RTL, but up until now it's all been speculation, nothing concrete, now it's been confirmed that it is on RTL, take a look at the date on the RTL page i pasted, that's the date RTL confirmed it,
speculation is not fact, now it is fact, we can all enjoy "free to air" hopefully what will be a good bout.
some people expect everything on a plate, but some of us spend a lot of our time finding things out and then sharing that information so other people don't have to do the hard work and they get some enjoyment out of the things we post:D

Like 'munchkin' said RTL HD is not FTA, It is part of the 10 channel German HD Plus package which needs a dedicated cam and card.
Also anybody with a Sky Deutschland HD subscription can receive RTL HD and the other channels in said HD Plus package

The match I think you are referring to was on Das Erste which is always FTA in SD and HD
RTL HD is encrypted , RTL SD is not encrypted

I read on a forum that Al Jazeera +10 and JSC Sports 1 26E(FTA) is showing this also.

I watched the Khan fight last year on JSC Sports 1 26E and it had the feed from Sky Box Office. English commentary included.

The official Al Jazeera arabic site hasn't got the listings up for the 2nd of July yet. It only goes up to the 1st. I'll take a look again tomorrow but it's listed on the Haye v Klitschko wiki as being on Al Jazeera in Qatar. Hopefully it'll be Al Jazeera Global/1 and not 2 which we can't get!

RTL Schweiz on Hotbird has previously been known to encrypt, in fact when you scan this channel it is 'flagged' encrypted (in cryptoworks), so it is available to RTL anytime they want to encrypt, I was informing people that it could be encrypted, it probably won't be, but with RTL Schweiz the capability to encrypt is in place for RTL, if you have Astra 1 19 east that should be your first choice as there it will 100% be FTA

Its also free to air on 12.5w Italia Sport 2 at 12718 H 36510. Its also on the Al Jazeera HD channel on 4 east which as mentioned somewhere in a previous thread is receivable in some parts.

Al Jazeera is gone from 4 East except Al Jazeera Children. And that tp on 12.5 W cannot be scanned by normal receivers because it uses ACM modulation. It does not list Sport Italia anyway, I think they are gone from satellite.

Yes it is on +3 so they will. +3 is Al Jazeera's fully English channel. If you plan to watch on the free Al Jazeera Sport channel on 26E then you will probably get English there as well.

Is it on five live for definite?

It wasn't on their scedule the last time I looked and I was listening to them this morning and no mention of covering the fight even when discussing the fight.
The only advertisement for upcoming events was for the formula one.

rtl {albeit in german}-- free

so had to laugh when premium sky box office went ringside with george foremen and lenox lewis to find they were being dubbed in german as sky are obviously using rtl's feed as rtl cameras in ring! embarrassment for sky! priceless!
