Lonely in Lucan

I am a 31 year old female in Dublin.

I don't have any friends here and don't know how to make new ones. I did not go to college here in Dublin, and have drifted out of contact with friends from college and school. I work alone so can't make friends at work :(

I have tried using websites like meetup but its not really working :)

My boyfriend doesn't have any close female friends and my relationship is getting worse because I am bored and depressed.

Any idea how to make some female friends my own age?

I can't remember the stock answer, so I'll just say this:
I would like to have sex with you.

I have tried that :) A lot of girls turn up with friends of their own and I find it hard to break into a circle like that. They seem to be interested in having their own fun

I would imagine your inbox will be full within minutes posting this here. AH is a home for... some of the more, unusual type :D For your own sake I'd post this over in Personal Issues or try have it moved over. Plenty of people in similar situations.

    Shhhhhh!

In fairness to the OP, I've already reported it and asked for it to be moved there.
We can still have fun in the mean time.

Thanks for offering! But am not short of a ride or two!

If things are starting to look scarce on that side of things, I will be sure to look you up :D

try getting involved in local organisations.
Drama group, musical societies. You could join a sports club.

Team participation pursuits are an excellent icebreaker.

Maybe post in a section of boards that interests you and join their meet ups when you feel comfortable.

Also there is The Ladies Lounge. I think they do Girls Only Beers every so often.

"wracked within" the lot of them. At least when they were on the absinthe they'd eventually jump into something.

A martial arts club isn't a bad idea actually. You'll meet all types of people; you'll get fit; you'll learn to defend yourself and you'll be socializing.

Or a night course in cookery?

There's a thread in The Ladies Lounge Forum for women who make friends with other women. I've no funny one liners, so had be actually helpful instead!

I think the OP is looking for another female to spice up her boring sex life with here BF. if she goes MFF then he should go FMM.

ask one of the mods in the ladies lounge for access to the private meet up forum. there are always meetups in dublin being organised- cinema, coffee, drinks- there is something this weekend as far as I know. But there are also threads to get to know other girls there too.

Plenty of boardsies have made new friends on here.

Maybe she's just a great GF on that score and looks after him well. Or maybe, just maybe, she'll arrive home with another bloke, all "sorry" like, telling him she did try to get a woman, but there just weren't any and, well, she didn't want to dissapoint him, so she got the next best thing....

    no no! never go FMM!

All sorts of things could go wrong e.g. crossing swords, splash soiling on the guys, spit roast tearing, etc

Don''t knock it til you try it! ;)

I've had quite the few educational experiences involving the above and believe me, they're not the horrorfests you make them out to be...
