Time Capsule - Can't run time machine backup

I 'm wondering if there is anyone here who was experienced the same problem. I'm trying to run a time machine backup to a time capsule but I keep getting the message

    "backup disk not available"

i can mount the drive and it shows up in Finder on the left hand side. I tried using both wireless and ethernet. Still having the same problem.

The only way I didn't have this problem was to create a new user and backup using that account. I deleted the com.apple.timemachine preference file and I'm still experiencing the same problem.

Is there something I'm missing, because my time capsule is now useless as a time machine device.

    Thanks

You appear to have fixed your own problem if it works with a different user account. The problem is in your (first)user/Library folder but is not the Time machine preference, so only a few million files to go! You could just give the new user account admin privileges and delete the dodgy account ( dont forget to save off desktop/download/iTunes etc files first ).
