leanest cut of lamb

    hi all

    just want to start incorporating lamb into my diet.i usually eat steak 2 times per week fish 2 times & chicken 3 times....would like the option of having lamb instead of steak 1 day..im an avid gym user..jsut wondering which is the leanest cut of lamb and the highest in protien also??? just to be clear i get plenty of fats (nuts dairy oils etc) from other sources i just like my meat lean & full of protien as i refuse to take whey or any supplement :D..thanks:cool:

    There is nothing wrong with getting all your protein from whole food sources. But I don't see the point of refusing to have whey full stop. It has a uselful place in your diet when you don't get enough protein

    I'm presuming that you're only cooking for one here so I'm going to say a center loin of lamb.....By far the leanest part for a one person meal...If you're looking to go a bit bigger well then I'd look for a fillet of lamb but you'd have to roast that!!!!

    nothing against whey protien..i just dont want to take it..id rather get it from food :)...at the end of the day if i needed to take it i would

    yes just for 1...its most likely to be cubed and used in currys etc...so center lion is the eay forward then?? :)

    sometimes tesco have lamb fillets but they are not always there...
