I moved away from Ireland so don't have access to IP gym anymore, Will had some tailored exercises for our GAA team which I am using for the Aussie Rules team here at the moment. Any suggestions on exercises that could replace the prowler? All I can think of is interval rowing but would love some more suggestions.

There's some build yer own prowler vids up on the youtube. Mostly wooden bases with odds and ends for weight. Thinking of building similar, might hollow some scrap car wheels out and fill with cement or something.

You can get a similar effect if you place Hanley in front of a full-length mirror and then try to push him out of its view.....

Someone able to push me out of view of a mirror.... I don't understand?

You could push/drag a car/jeep too if you've space. Load lads/weight into it to vary resistance.

Anyone half handy with an arc welder could make up a prowler pretty easily. Re the sled there are cheap ways of making one..Get a wheelbarrow and just unscrew the wheels and forks off..drill a few holes, get some webbing straps, fill it with plates, jerry cans of water or anything that will add weight.

or you can just do this either..

If you have more friction on the base you can make it lighter and it will give you the same resistance. e.g. if you had a wooden base and put in a load of nails sticking out the bottom it is going to be a lot harder to move across grass than if there were no nails, so you can use less additional weights. You could put on a bristled doormat on the bottom or something.

It might tear up the pitch but on the pitches near me there are lots of waste patches.

if you were custom making something it could have a few uses. e.g. if it double up as a power tower.

Or you might be able to find a ready made power tower and slap a base on it, many towers will have things to add weights on already to stabilise it. It could be used for a good mixed workout, like push it 10m, do a few chins, push again, do some dips.
