hey, thinking of doing this just to get myself into dieting again , was on here about two years ago and lost about 20lbs through healthy eating and exercise but unfortunately since Christmas I have put on about 10lbs. Now i intend on following what I did before calorie counting and healthy eating as I know starvation diets etc dont work but just to get myself going as I am feeling bloated and sluggish was thinking of doing about 5 days of just protein shakes.I have bought precision engineered whey protein. Anyone have any thoughts or other methods of just getting me kick started or if there is any health risks to doing this for 5 days?

    Thanks

Jessie, from one Kerry person (living in the big shmoke) to another (I presume), please don't do it.

Starting off on 5 days of no solid food is going to cause you more harm than it's worth in my opinion. You are going to have terrible problems with your general health, particularly in relation to going to the toilet. Sorry to be so blunt. A protein shake is a supplement, and a supplement is exactly that, it "supplements" an already healthy diet, but adds extra protein in liquid form for those that need it. Consuming nothing but them is not a healthy diet.

Have a read of the Nutrition 101 sticky on this forum. Read it all and commit everything in it to memory. Keep the information it contains with you for life. You can easily lose the bloated/sluggish feelings, lose fat healthily and keep it off for life if you follow the advice given within it.

Lipotrim, only use as a kick start though. I was skeptical and i felt like crap when i was on it as well as leaving you constipated a little. Complaining aside I lost 9lb the first week, feckers wanted me to go on it for 3 weeks, i would not recommend that at all.

No post up your current diet because i gurantee there are going to be holes in it and fixing those are the answer

    All the best
