Moldova actually. Most of us do not recognise Transnistrian independence. ;)

BTW where are Sacred Heart from?

I trust my own experience, not wikipedia's. You speak for most everyone else.... quite impressive. The team are allowed be from both places.
BTW where are Sacred Heart from?

Sacred Heart in the low foothills of the Dublin Mountains, access along the Killinarden Heights road to a complex with all-weather and grass full size pitches. After spending about seven in the fourth tier of Inmediate football, the got promoted last year and will should get promotion again.

The club is headed by a very energetic chap and have come close to qualifying for the FAI Cup in the recent past but have been knocked out of teh Interediate by top teams. But this year and for the forseeable future they are worth a League of Ireland scalp.

It's Tallaght - just to clarify for the person who asked who might no know Killinarden.

They have a nice setup there.

After our recent experience with Cockhill, I think I'd prefer to get a First Division team than a non-league team.

My mate plays for Greystones and said it will be in the Carlisle. Hopefully its a Saturday or Sunday game during the day

EDIT: Was just talking to another lad that plays for Greystones. Its not confirmed that they will use Brays ground but its most likely. My bad.

Watching the draw in work, thought Shels were #27, nearly puked when Salthill Devon were drawn at home to #27, thankfully a few seconds later they revealed that to be Sheriff.

Can't complain when getting a non - league team. Not that I expect Cherry Orchard to roll over mind.

Lad who I know told my brother last week that if get a team who'll bring a crowd, that Carlisle will be the main choice. I can imagine Shels will bring a large crowd so can see it being moved.

Youghal away for Bray, long enough trip but should get a win.

Glad Rovers didn't get Sacred Heart. They're were my local LSL team growing up. Hopefully they get a result against Limerick.

Athlone not the easiest draw but should be fine at home.

    Third Round
    Friday 03rd June
Bohemian FC v. Douglas Hall, Dalymount Park (HoIF) 19:45
Cherry Orchard FC v. UCD, UCD Bowl, 19:45
Crumlin Utd. v. St. Pats Ath, Richmond Park, 19:45
Drogheda Utd. v. Mervue Utd. Hunky Dorys Park 19:45
Dundalk v. Galway Utd., Oriel Park 19:45

Wexford Youths v. Derry City, Ferrycarraig 20:00 (as per oldyouth)

    Sunday 05th June

Youghal Utd v. Bray Wanderers, Ardrath 15:00
Sacred Heart v. Limerick FC, Tallaght Stadium 15:30

Some very nice derby matches Crumlin/St. Pats Ath and the connections between UCD and Cherry Orchard FC go back decades. Waterford v. New Ross Celtic and Midleton v. Cork City bring some excitement for all those clubs.

Pride of Tallaght Sacred Heart FC should give football fans in the area a much needed boost.

Derry City's trip to Wexford is a reminder of the European tie between a team from both the Faroes Island and Kazakstan in the last couple of years. But thats what you get if you are fussy about which country you want to play your football in.

Some Youghal fans/players/officials/hangers on were at the Bray Rovers game. At least they'll have learned how not to play against Bray then..

Athlone is probably one of the easier draws to get at home. Twigg should play...maybe more time to Sives and Oman, O'Donnell and some alternative to Billy on the wing.

Athlone is easier than a non-league team tbh

    Well you never know...

First Division people...how close could Drogheda v Mervue or Salthill v Sheriff be? Or how good are Mervue and how bad are Salthill? I'm looking at those and UCDD as being the potential for 'upsets' or even draws

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

I know nothing about Sheriff, but I could easily see a decent junior side beating Salthill.

Dundalk v. Galway United is on Sunday at 3pm, not Friday as it says above, by the way.

In my log over on the gambling forum, Drogs Mervue was one of 3 matches I picked out, Mervue at 3/1 is great value if they throw out a decent side (look out for Gaffney in the line up).

Brutal match, handy win. Crumlin are a shocking excuse for a football team. Usual poor tackling from LSL lads getting a lession. Dunno how they only got 1 red card.

FT Cherry Orchard 1 - 2 UC Dublin
FT Crumlin United 0 - 3 St. Patricks
FT Drogheda United 4 - 0 Mervue United

FT Salthill Devon 1 - 2 Sherrif YC
FT Sligo Rovers 3 - 2 Pike Rovers
    FT Waterford U. 3 - 0 New Ross Celtic
