When/where to see flock of starlings?

    Its not called a flock is it!? Can anyone offer advice on when and where to see those huge flocks of starlings, for some reason I think its more probably to see these in winter, but if anyone could give some insight it would be appreciated... thanks.

    I always see loads of them swarming over the Grand Canal in D 22 during the Autumn.
    Amazing sight!

    These large flocks are an Autumn sight. October and November are best. They are to be seen is many areas around the country and the locations can change from year to year. your best bet is to enquire here again from about mid September and hopefully someone will know of a location near you - it's one of Nature's sights well worth seeing.
