There's nothing in the world more comforting to me than a feather duvet (easy on now i said comfort, not pleasure :D

Any one remember the blankets on the beds? Always falling off in the middle of the night, the bed spreads, the top and bottom sheets starched within an inch of their lives. Waking up freezing in the middle of the night, brrrr. Wonder can ya still buy them?

Alot of you wont even remember the heavy blankets but believe me, they were a torture all to themselves.

My duvet instantly makes me feel better. What's the most comforting thing in your world?

Having a shower at night, clean pjs and getting into my bed with fresh sheets and a good book! Simple things! :D

This place has an amazing power shower, love it
Some of the places I've rented had pretty much no water pressure, drip, drip, it was terrible.
And often you'd have to hold the shower head with one hand as you stood in the bath, that's even worse
But this shower, it's the biz! If I ever own a house I'll skimp on some things but a powerful shower is something I want

Also like lying in bed when raining is banging on the window, cosy.
I downloaded one of those sound effects files of heavy rain, strangely relaxing and comforting

That feeling you get when you wake up, get a shock that you're late for work and then realise it's a Saturday.

    Pure bliss.

Waking up for work and realizing its only 3am, and you have another 4 hours of peaceful sleep to enjoy.
Even better if its bucketing rain outside.

I do, before the evil master took them and gave it to the orphanage in town. "you can warm each other with hugs at night" he said..evil master
he took our food too, sold it to the bankers.."you dont need to eat you stay in bed all day!" he said, evil master

he even took my wooden sculpture of the crying children and burned that in the furnace on a cold day, not to heat the house, but he opened the front door at the same time and laughed actually he roflhao

then he left and there was a knock at the door..
    "is Mr bates there?"
no I said he's bringing a load to the children at the orphanage
    dirty master.. :(

It's hard to beat the feeling of slipping into a brand new pair of socks - especially if they're nice and cool, almost cold. Heaven!!

I remember the heavy blankets. My childhood home was so cold in the winter that we'd have 3-4 of them on the bed. As a younger kid, it was like being slowly crushed everytime I went to bed.

When we finally moved to a warmer house and I used duvets for the first time, I hated them. They didn't feel secure and I was sure that they would slide off the bed as soon as I went asleep.

Something I really love is getting out of the shower and sitting in front of a huge warm natural fire to dry. Nothing like the feel of a warm fire on cold wet skin.
