The same creatives are making it, you can see in the current season they are laying the ground work with a few flash back scenes to earth just as the war starts, the origin of the grounders and so on, i know ill be watching it.

I haven't got to see the current season yet. Looking forward to it and the prequel.

Hope it is the same but different, if you follow me.:)

Tried it, coz I'm a sucker for sci-fi, but gave up. Premise sounded interesting, but found the dialogue too simplistic (and the narrative a bit slow) in the build-up. A lot of people rave about it though.
I wan't a massive fan either. I don't know if we can attribute the dialogue to translation or not but there was something that never grabbed me.
I also think it's a bit tricky to adapt to TV without some heavy changes. I don't know if they're eyeing the Chinese market with this adaptation because I'm not sure what broad appeal it would have. Adaptations such as 'The Witcher' are more grounded and straight forward.

    Netflix is banned in China.

So unlikely it is for the Chinese market unless they are going to try and use this as some sort of deal to open up there.

An episode of this season acted as a backdoor pilot to the new series which is reportedly called Second Dawn.
I was a big fan of The 100 but I'm ready for it to end now as I find it has become a chore to get through.

    Pretty Little Liars

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Reboot In The Works From ‘Riverdale’ Creator
A new iteration of Pretty Little Liars is in the works from Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Alloy Entertainment, sources close to the project have confirmed to Deadline.

The reboot, which will be written by Aguirre-Sacasa, is in its very early stages, but we hear it will feature a new story and new characters. A network is not yet attached and the project has not yet been taken out to possible buyers, but WBTV sibling HBO Max would be a logical destination. The streamer is currently rebooting another signature WBTV YA series, Gossip Girl, with new characters.

Alloy Entertainment’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo would executive produce the series with Aguirre-Sacasa.

    Silk

Amazon In Talks For Sony’s Suite Of TV Series Featuring Marvel Characters, Led By ‘Silk’

Sony’s long-in-the-works “suite” of TV series based on Marvel characters controlled by the studio is getting closer to reality.

I hear Sony is in talks with Amazon to be the SVOD distributor of the high-profile package of shows, which includes multiple titles. The first, which was identified by Sony Pictures TV about a year ago and had been in development at the studio, is Silk. Lauren Moon, a writer on Sony TV’s Netflix series Atypical, wrote the TV adaptation based on the Korean-American comic book superhero, created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos.

Silk would mark one of the first comic book series led by an Asian-American character.....

That Fresh Prince reboot gets a 2 season order with Clueless now being looked at for a series reboot.

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Drama Series Reboot Gets Two Season Order at Peacock
Peacock has picked up two seasons of the planned drama series reboot of the classic sitcom “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”

Will Smith made the announcement Tuesday on YouTube, which can be viewed below. The series, titled “Bel-Air,” will be based on Morgan Cooper’s viral video that reimagined the NBC comedy series as a drama. The trailer, which Cooper posted online last year, has racked up over five million views on YouTube alone.

Cooper is attached to co-write and direct the project and will also serve as a co-executive producer. Chris Collins will serve as showrunner and executive producer in addition to co-writing the script with Cooper. Smith will executive produce via Westbrook Studios along with Quincy Jones, Benny Medina, and original series creators Andy and Susan Borowitz. Miguel Melendez and Westbrook Studios’ Terence Carter will also executive produce. Westbrook Studios and Universal Television will produce. UTV was the studio behind the original show as well.

Set in modern-day America, “Bel-Air” is a serialized one-hour dramatic reimagining of the 90’s sitcom that leans into the original premise: Will’s complicated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. The series was first announced as being in development last month.

This is not the first classic property that Peacock has offered a new twist on for fans. The streamer is currently developing a reboot of “Battlestar Galactica” and “Queer as Folk,” while a sequel series to “Saved by the Bell” is also set at the streamer. In addition, Variety exclusively reported that a reboot of “Clueless” told from Dionne’s perspective is in the works at Peacock.

You think they would have rounded it off with 12 seasons making seasons 11 & 12 of 12 episodes each instead of 1 season of 24 split over two years.

Maybe something to do with the contracts. Aggregating It is probably cheaper than splitting it into 2 seasons.

Not really a spoiler. Could be prequel, sequel or interquel. I don't want the Walking Dead so I've no idea who these people are. I've seen plenty of spin-offs that are prequels (Better Call Saul, the upcoming 100 prequel, etc.)

Disney+ wants is developing a new version of the 1989-93 medical dramedy Doogie Howser, M.D., which will put a female character at the center of the story.

Tentatively titled Doogie Kealoaha, M.D., the potential series will focus on a half-Asian, half-white 16-year-old girl who works as a doctor in Hawaii. Kourtney Kang, who served as a producer on How I Met Your Mother throughout its nine-season run, will write and executive-produce.

It has been ordered to series at Disney+
