    playing for Offaly?

Would love to hear him speak live, but you know it'll end up with Bono onstage.

Can't wait to see him break-dancing, I always enjoy that bit.

All those CIA agents should fill up the Hill, the rest of the entourage will take the Lower Hogan. The Gardai overtime bill will need the rest.

I'm going to make him a chocolate handgun :)

Ronald Reagan - now there was a president. As a 1980's buyer and seller of souls, there was no better facilitator than good ol' 'Ray-Gun.' All the fellas in the boardroom loved him; he knew business and he liked money.

It's all just rumours/reports at the moment, but apparently they'll be available online... probably through ticketmaster.

Not afraid to dish out a skelp either, if the referee isn't looking.

Maybe it's just me, but i can't see 82000 people being arsed to go to Croker to see him. Even if it was for free.

Freud would have a field day with them.

Well it's all based on reports from sources etc. I don't doubt that it's true, but I just meant that no offical announcements have been made yet so we can't know for sure.

Well - that, and the other tens of millions of privately owned firearms. It is after all one of the key intents of the 2nd amendment, in order to prevent any form of dictatorship from taking shape.

It would be funny but yeah thats kind of the idea, "any unarmed people are slaves, or subject to slavery at any given moment".

I'd go, but think of all the traffic. I'll just watch the highlights on youtube instead.

    Honest to god you're deluded.
Personally I've no issue with guns. I used to own one and hunting is a good way to get out and about but the idea that you're part of some militia and defending your country would be so funny if it weren't tragic.

Bit stupid we have to pay for the right to see some guy in a park. Luckily, my sniper rifle from Quake can hit him from 400 miles, so I'm safe. :)

Believe whatever you want. It's a bittersweet thing for me when I read about people getting mugged in Dublin that can't defend themselves, or protests that get shrugged off because the people in charge know you've got no teeth.

So Bush, starts slashing liberties in the name of security and they're lauding him, then, Obama rides into town with a healthcare bill and the toothless simpletons are out with their guns and calling for revolution.

yea you can see how well it's working!

If this was 1850 you may have a point but in 2011 that comment sounds ridiculous. If a handgun in the possession of people is the only way of preventing a dictatorship then that Country has far bigger issues to sort out.

Who ever said it was the only way?

Possibly, but I'd prefer that to one side putting down the other without a hope.

For the most part the process has been preserved though. The government has still continued to function. Now if the president dissolved the Congress and named himself King of the Free World or something, sure.

They're mugged/robbed with guns in Dublin too, the only difference is you're not allowed to fire back:

It's a bitersweet feeling for me each time I read a story of a gun attack in the USA. Every day it's the same story. Here's an article from 3 hours ago for example.

    http://www.sacbee.com/2011/04/13/3549565/sf-teen-charged-with-murder-in.html
Investigators say the 15-year-old told them the shooting was an accident that occurred as he and Zeng were playing with the gun.

If this happens and i highly doubt it. It would be the most cringeworthy thing in the history of Ireland and we have had some seriously cringeworthy moments. I expect news in the coming weeks that Mr Obama was "desperate" to speak in Croke Park after hearing about all its history blah blah blah the usual GAA spun crap but secret service wouldnt allow it.
