Punishment

A few weeks ago I went drinking and merry making unannounced, starting on the Friday evening after work and finishing on the Sunday night. My OH was frantically trying to ring me all weekend to see where I was but I had my phone on silent so it wouldn’t annoy me.
We had a great time, party Friday night, went into Tescos Saturday morning early and started trying on clothes drunk, played football drunk with some teenagers in the park, met a hen party and drank all the way through Sunday, before I got home Sunday night and snuck into bed before she could notice.
I was expecting hell the next but she just gave me the cold shoulder, and told me she would get me back.
Last night I invited over friends to watch Liverpool and Man city on telly.
We went into the sitting room and turned off E channel and turfed the Oh out.
When I put on the football I got the blue screen saying to pay for this channel ……
I ran out to get the phone, and my OH says "whats wrong, someone cut off Sky sports?
    Says I "It was you?"
Says she "It was, remember your little adventure a few weeks back"
My friends were giggling at me and we decided to go to the pub to watch it and she warned me "go out that door and your clothes will be on the lawn when you get back"
I mean I am in my 30s and she is punishing me and embarrassing me in front of my mates.
When was the last time you have been punished unfairly?

    Unfairly?

You went out for the whole weekend and your OH had no idea where you were? You could have been killed for all she knew. Some respect you have for her OP.

You're either extremely stupid to think this was 'unfair', or you're a troll.

I don't think you've been unfairly punished mate. She got her revenge.

I presume you are not suggesting you were punished unfairly ?

FFS what the hell where you expecting? She'd tell you it was ok to bugger off for the entire weekend without contacting her and letting her know at the very least you were alive?

So big deal you're in your 30's, she might like a chance a pace and see you acting it. I for one would have changed the locks, its not her fault your a selfish inconsiderate arse!!!!!!!!

OP, this is perfect. Any self respecting male doesn't have Sky Sports anyway as it's an excuse to go to the pub. Ride it out and you'll be free every Super Sunday from now on!

I'm actually surprised and a little disappointed you haven't thought of it before.

Supporting Liverpool or Man city is punishment enough for any man.

You'd think that a man in his 30s with OH would have the cop on to at least pick up the phone/message to let her know he's not dead/injured.

Have you considered the notion that maybe you don't enjoy being in a relationship?

Do you have any idea how many people are reported missing because they haven't got the decency to answer a phone or tell someone they are ok? She should have just changed the locks on you.

Are you looking for sympathy? You're in your 30's and you acted like an (idiotic) 18 year old. Grow up.

Just wondering OP: how would you react if she did the exact same thing to you? (I mean the bit about going on a bender for the weekend and not contacting you)

Also: going into Tesco's drunk and trying the clothes on....I thought you were about 15 when I was reading this bit....shocked to hear your in your 30's

Fact that you survived to post the thread is testimony to her patience. I'd be setting spuds on ya by now.

Leave the OP alone, he is just reliving his youth. The weekend was wishful thinking. let him have his fantasy.

No not always, the other does happen.
