Just a question for the girls,

Say you see a woman on the bus that you fancy and think she fancies you too. But your not sitting together and you will only have a short few seconds to get her number when she passes. What is the best thing to say to her?

Is it alright to say, 'Sorry, is there any chance i could have your number, id like to ask you out some time'.

Or is that just crap?

It sounds like something that doesnt often happen in Ireland....But I for one would be delighted if it happened more. Irish people seem to think that the only time to talk to a stranger is when off their face in a pub or club.....If it was me Id imagine it would make my day, although Im not sure I would give a random stranger my phone number (would probably give my email address tho so we could get to know each other).

One of the mods here gave me a great idea YEARS ago. mentioned it to one or two others and they've gotten (mostly) positive reactions from it. Get a business card with "Voucher for one free coffee" on one side with your phone number on the back.

If you're shy you can simply hand it over, smile and walk off, if your not, well throw it in at the end to seal the deal.

either way, all you have to do afterwards is let the girl decide if she wants her free coffee or not
