Countries you most definitely DON'T want to visit

    For whatever reason.

I'm having trouble of thinking any tbh but I wouldn't be too keen on visiting places like China, Burma, North Korea. Wouldn't trust those communist baeshtads as far as I could throw em but I'm sure those countries have nice scenery and what have you

Then you have countries that are incredibly dull and conformist like Belgium, England, Netherlands that there is no point in visiting because they are just like an off the shelf ready-made Western state

I'd be hard pushed to visit the baby eating, cross waving, potato munching bog trotting mystical land of Ireland, meself.

    Nice scenery though. Apparently. :D

Surprisingly little coverage at the moment, but will be a big boost for the UK in terms of publicity, you only have to look at how many journalists the US networks are sending over

So since I was last in Ireland on Saturday both Limerick and Tallaght have declared Independence  . Surely RTE should have reported on that?!

Back on Topic I cant imagine Somalia would be very nice the whole failed state we like to kill/kidnap/rape westerners and the poverty with no infrastructure isnt very appealing. Cant imagine Libya would be great at the mo either.

    Egypt.
I went on a holiday to Turkey & was sick for the entire holiday due to the food out there.

I have been told that Egypt isn't much better food wise so for that reason I will give it a miss. My arse is thanking me as I type.

A lot can happen in three days. You missed the vote on Limerick. We all voted on saturday evening to wall off limerick and pretend its not part of the country anymore.

Tallaght declared independence on Sunday morning, it was a complete suprise but we're adjusting and besides we're keeping their share of the bailout, what are they gonna do?

When are you coming back? Galway may be succeeding this evening...

I would actually like to go to Pariah states like that myself and maybe North Korea wouldn't be the worst one but I'd hate to be shot for walking too far up the beach or waking up to find the hard drive from my laptop missing and being worried about getting sent to the Gulag because they didn't like what was on it

Never had any desire to go to Russia .I know Joe Stalin and the kgb aren't around any more as it's all Glasnost now with scenery and beautiful women to match but knowing my luck , I would wander off for a walk , get lost in the snow and end up in some Gulag for next 20 years :(

Iraq..cant imagine it being much fun :pac:

It's rather refreshing not to see chewing gum everywhere and well, I'm not too bothered with porn.

First thing I saw there was cops with assault rifles though, that was a bit weird.
Also, I was made go to a gold jewelers by a taxi man, but the taxi ride only cost the equivalent of €4, would have been €20 in Dublin.

Pretty weird country but definitely one I'd go back to.

As long as you don't have a penchant for such uncivilised things as chewing gum or have any desire to do something that might bother any of the 6 million people in your direct surroundings

Anywhere where women are expected to cover up and stay separate from men. Which is a shame, because some of those countries are probably beautiful.

Myself and the missus were there when doing the trans-mongolian. Meh. Between the hoops you jump through to get a visa, the mostly dreadful food, the prices, the corruption encountered when dealing with the police, the "frosty" nature of many of the people we encountered, well it wouldn't be a place I'd visit again in too much of a hurry.

I know someone who went on holiday there a few years ago. They had to go on government tours and pose for official photographs and stuff. All very controlled and creepy.
