Former wcw/wwf star Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon) at an Indy show in Fall River MA on April 8. No one is sure what is wrong with Hall but he was in pathetic condition. Rumors speculate drug relapse, others say medical issues. He did, however, still have on a hospital bracelet. The footage shows it all, he had to be literally carried around the arena.

Twitter user @stevevr1965 went to a wrestling event in Fall River, MA and had this to say about Scott Hall's appearance:

"Update on Scott Hall. He was so gone at the top rope show in Fall River Ma tonight. Very embarrassing for him & promotion. I didn't take any pics because I was actually sad for him. But others took video that will ...surely end up on youtube. Hall was so wasted he needed two people to help him move. He couldn't sign autographs only take pics and his eyes were half closed."

Scotty 2 Hotty (@thescotty2hotty), who was also at the show, re-tweeted part of what @stevevr1965 wrote and posted the following himself:

"Just witnessed the saddest, most embarrassing thing in my career!!!! How many guys have to die before some guys learn?"

    Uploader mattbotvin responds :

"When he was "signing" autographs, he sat in the lobby being held up by the men who carried him to the ring, he sat there with his eyes in the back of his head nodding out f reality and looked like he was in a vegetative coma. It was honestly disturbing to see especially for small children to witness someone they might consider an idol. I'd like to believe he is sober, but after tonight that just seems impossible"

cant think of a better way to sum up how this makes me feel than

    :(

So many people were touched by Hall's career it really is a pity that this is the way it's gone. the opening of the thread title says it all really, we shouldent really need to be told someone's not dead but with Hall its always a relief to know this isnt the last thread we will have about him.

He rally is in a bad state. His legs are just falling apart under him. If a guy is in that state you wouldn't bring him out in front of kids.

God that is depressing. I can see Justin Credible getting in trouble for using the name as well, cos as far as I know WWE own the rights to that.

I think they can use it for non-televised events.

That is shocking. What bright spark in the backstage let him go out in such a condition? It's not as if Hall could have forced his way out there against the wishes of the promoter. It's just a total embarrassment for all concerned.

Thank you.Nash got him a job numerous times. He then no shows & gets pist. Then people expect Tna or whoever to put him into rehab again. It wouldn't achieve anything he needs to wake up & get off whatever he's on I suspect mixing drink with Painkillers.Even if wwe offered him rehab it'd be a short term solution if he doesn't get off the bottle.

I find it encouraging that someone in that condition can still make money. The crowd were loving it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,925 ✭✭✭Otis Driftwood

Whoever let him appear in that condition really should be ashamed of themselves.

Id imagine Hall was the marquee attraction and if he didnt appear then fans would demand refunds so fcuk it,the man is obviously out of his head lets have him wheeled out anyway.

With bookers and promoters allowed to carry on without any supervision or fear of censure is it any wonder why so many wrestlers die young.

    Bastards.

Wow, Nash is in some state, even I don't fall home in that condition after a 2 day session, he really needs to get his act together.

Terrible to see someone throwing themselves down the drain like that.
Also not nice how the promoters sent him out in that state

As I said the ball is in Hall's court. Its his choice now to stop hitting the bottle & popping pills.

This is like the murky side of the wrestling business summed up in visual form. As has been said already, WTF were the people behind the show thinking? It's a disgrace to have let him go out like that in such a sorry state.

The guy just looks like he's beyond help at this point seeing as efforts have been made to sort him out so many times. I hope he can turn things around.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,289 ✭✭✭parker kent

If you were watching a movie and you saw somebody sent out in that state by management, you wouldn't believe it. What type of heartless, mindless, thoughtless person would send him out in that condition? Ignoring alone the basic, human decency that so many promoters in wrestling seem to lack, from a business point of view it would be better to not have him out there like that.

This is the horrible underbelly of wrestling. Too many addicts, too many tragic and sad stories, too many deaths.

i feel the same way - i take no joy in seeing someone fall from grace like that - i only hope he can turn his life around before he becomes another sad statistic - also shame on those involved for allowing him out in that state and for now actually marketing the PPV as the event where scott hall is fu<ked up - i only hope the like of nash et al catch up with them good hiding's in order me thinks.

Dana Hall told Mike Mooneyham of The Post and Courier that he ex-husband, Scott Hall, now has little contact with their children—16-year-old daughter Cassidy and 19-year-old son Cody.

"He hasn't seen Cassidy since August 2010," Dana said. "I don't think he has seen Cody in almost two years. They may have had one or two brief phone calls since then, but nothing that I know of.

Dana, who fears that her children have suffered irreparably from the dysfunction of the family, says her son won't communicate with his father "until Scott gets in rehab and away from the enablers he is with."

"He calls inconsistently and texts him, and Cody doesn’t respond... They hold it in. They hate to talk about it, but they accept that they don't have a father or a normal life. The last time I talked to him face to face was when I took Cassidy to the hospital to tell him goodbye last August. It was a horrible scene. He had been doing crack cocaine for days and had used all the money in the account he wrote the child support check on and it had bounced.

"I have cut off his contact with me and the kids, and ignore his calls, texts and messages to me, which are 99 percent negative and nasty when he is drunk. At this point, he can have no contact with us unless I know his intentions. Actions speak louder than words."

Nash stated last week in a blog post that Hall's problems go beyond substance addiction. His issues, Nash says, are based on events that happened before his wrestling career, and Hall's only coping mechanism is turning to drugs and alcohol.

"I can tell you Scott Hall has neither a drug or alcohol addiction ... Scott's problem is he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. Drugs and alcohol aren’t the problem; to Scott they are the solution," Nash wrote.

"Please don’t judge Scott on what you just saw. He would give any of you a kidney ... He’s my brother (and) we will get through this."

Dana, however, believes Scott, is running out of options.

"Pretty much, we are done, his brothers are done, his mother is worried sick, feels helpless ... We try to live life as if he is already dead, until he does something really bad, and then it is kind of hard to ignore."

Hall's son Cody accompanied Nash to the hospital for a brief visit on Thursday. Dana updated her Twitter page today with news that Scott is out of the hospital, but has not entered a treatment program.

Scott Hall tragically still in very rough shape

It is now two weeks on from Scott Hall's inebriated appearance at an independent wrestling show and his subsequent hospitalisation. Sadly it doesn't seem like Hall has gotten the help he needs and may be in worse shape than ever. Earlier this week, Scott Hall's ex-wife and mother to his two children Cody and Cassidy, Dana Lee Hall, created a Twitter account to publicly shame his best friends in the wrestling business Kevin Nash, Sean "X-Pac" Waltman and Shawn Michaels into intervening, getting him to retire from wrestling and forcing him into rehab:
@RealKevinNash @TheRealXPac @ShawnMichaels_ - Dont let the next time you are all together be to carry Scott's casket. HELP HIM NOW. Please.
@RealKevinNash @TheRealXPac @ShawnMichaels- He can't have anything to do with wrestling- and LIVE. Kids need to be #1 priority.
@RealKevinNash@TheRealXPac@ShawnMichaels_-PLEASE GET HIM WHERE HE NEEDS TO BE GUYS, HE'S RUNNING OUT OF TIME.
@ShawnMichaels_@RealKevinNash@TheRealXPac-I am sorry guys but I have had it with wrestling/drugs/alcohol and ALL this sick bull****- ENOUGH!
@ShawnMichaels_@RealKevinNash@TheRealXPac-get him to a safe place away from enablers, make him stop wrestling&put his kids 1st 4 once- Please
Thankfully Kevin Nash answered her cry for help and with Scott's son Cody visited Hall in hospital once they had tracked him down, but unfortunately they weren't able to convince him to go to rehab. Instead he's decided to go home, presumably to continue drinking and taking pills, leading to a further series of anguished tweets from his ex-wife Dana earlier today:
@LastCall4ScottH FYI Scott left the hospital & is home, he wants 2 continue killing himself, he doesn't get, never will, this will end badly
@ReaKevinNash @ThRealXPac "he's toast", he left, he's home w/the nurse get ready 4 the funeral Last Call 4 Scott Hall everyone. I tried.
@RealKevinNash -ok Kevin, is it time 2 put the "boots 2 him" now??
@LastCall4ScottH -Cody called him just 10 minutes ago, he answered, told Cody he "didn't want to stay", kind of says it all, HOPELESS.
LastCall4ScottH- HIS BOTTOM IS DEATH-PERIOD. I AM ABOUT TO HAVE A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN IN KITCHEN ON THE FLOOR 4 2ND TIME THIS WEEK. PRAY 4 US
Kevin Nash on his tumblelog has shared Dana's concerns that Scott may not pull through to combat his personal demons this time:
Scott Hall is in bad shape and each time I talk to him I feel it may be the last. It's gotten to the point where I save his voice mails, much like I would've saved Andrew's (Tess), because I knew sometimes when I heard his message it could be the last.... His ex-wife Dana, will be the first to tell you that she's not perfect. For 15 yrs, I thought she was the enemy. As Scott's condition continued to decline, and people that were willing to help continued to diminish, Dana and I found ourselves as the last 2 on the wall at the Alamo. I've gotten to know her somewhat. She's a loving, caring Mother, and let's NOT forget that Scott is the father to her children. She fears, much like I do, that Scott may not be here much longer. She's been on twitter, and people are saying ‘she's unstable'. She just wants to make sure her children have closure with their Father.
Nash viewing Dana Hall as the enemy for so many years may be related to the last time she tired to publicly intervene to turn Scott's life around. On October 7th 1998 Dana Hall wrote an open letter, which was widely distributed within the wrestling media at the time and can still be read here, criticising WCW for scripting a worked shoot storyline (that Nash was heavily involved in) where Scott played a drunk onscreen, while turning a blind eye to his real life behind the scenes drunken behaviour, like being arrested for keying a limo. A tragic case of deja vu.

ESPN.go.com is featuring an article about Scott Hall before the debut of the new "E:60" series profiling his battles with drugs and alcohol. WWE's Stephanie McMahon is quote in the article noting that the company has spent "in the six figures" to get Hall help.

"It's the most amount of money we've spent on anyone. I just want Scott to get help and to decide for himself that he needs help. It makes me sad. I don't want anybody to pass away prematurely or otherwise really. Scott was an incredibly talented performer, larger than life, charismatic. He's a father, he's a friend. I'm sure he means a lot to a lot of people and it would be a shame for him to pass away."

McMahon also talked about the measures WWE takes with its talent.

"In addition to that substance and abuse program, we also have cardiovascular testing, we do blood checks, we do physicals, we do concussion testing akin to the NFL. We're really about maintaining the health and well-being of our superstars because without our superstars we don't have a business. The superstars of today -- they're businessmen. They realize the healthier they maintain their bodies, the better they are going to perform, the more money they're going to make. They're more about playing with their iPads and gaming devices than they are about going out and hanging out at the bars."

Yep, just ask Black John Cena, Sin Cara Azul and Heath Slater. Mason Ryan too. Clean as a whistle!

Looking forward to this piece, although you know it's gonna be a very sad affair.
