You know this kind with very colorful designs and it seems to be a big fad, too. Has this fad passed yet? Some people think wearing pajama pants outside is very lazy and sloppy while others may consider it a cool fashion statement. Sometimes I had to go out in pajama pants because I didn't have any clean pants left to wear and I needed some change for laundry. sweatdrop

You are free to wear what you want. As long as your genitals aren't exposed, go for it.

I would not wear them at home.

I used work in an offie in Rialto, it was like mecca for knackers in pyjamas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

I dont understand how these people have no time to get dressed yet have ample time to apply layers of slap to their face. Its not acceptable, I've been pleased to see some shops put up "no pyjamas" in their windows.

NO! would you wear your bikini skiing?

    pyjamas's are for bed,
    Bikini's are for the beach,
and Jumpers are for everyone in Ireland.

If one day the ground opens up and thousands of the souless damned start crawling out complaining that subzero temperatures have replaced the hell fires of hades, then and only then may it be acceptable, otherwise put some clothes on please.

I remember going into a bakery in Christchurch NZ that had a sign on the door that read

"No ladies in pyjamas... and we're not fond of builders cracks either!"

Made me laugh everytime i went there.

Off Topic......that baby is so cute :D

On Topic......PJ's in public is not acceptable, ever!!! But unfortunately it looks like this craze is nowhere near ending, I have actually seen people walking around my area in the whole rig out, pj's,housecoat (the hooded ones for some reason ) and slippers.....might sound evil of me but I kinda hoped they stood on a nail or something, teach them a lesson ya know!!!

The amount of people I see around where I work (northside of Cork City) in pyjamas is ridiculous.. Get dressed for God's sake, it's 4PM!!!

    So no, it's never okay.

    It's spelled pyjamas, not pajamas.

We have a sign in the hallway of the pub I work in, Strictly NO hoodies & Tracksuits. The way things are going with this nightwear craze, seems we may have to alter it to include pyjamas :pac:

Let's face it. If you’re going to wear pyjamas in public you may as well expose your genitals. In fact I think it's a natural progress for the pyjama wearing public.

I wonder what tour guides say to the tourists while going past a group of knackers in bright pink PJs.

I would just say there is a circus nearby.

    No. No.

    No.

    No.

    There's no limit?

It's funny how pyjamas outdoors here are so looked down on, and in China (is it China) in some areas it's a sign of wealth :pac:

If you are a hot female supermodel and your pj's are very revealing then it is ok. Otherwise no.

Well because in china it isn't accompanied by a muffin bellied oompah loompa smoking a fag.

It really isn't that wealthy looking.:pac:

    Go For it..
But do try to wear really really bright Pj's.

That way I can see you clearly from the top of the clock tower.

Ugh no...it looks so damn lazy.
I remember first hearing about the trend (probably on boards) and not believing someone would actually leave the house for the day in their pjs. Does it really take that long to get dressed? Do they have special "going out" pjs?

If you were running a tour you'd have to describe in tour speak.

On our left here we have the pink pyjama clad skanky knacker. A creature indigenous to the island of ireland

I actually heard that they have special pyjamas that they get into to go out in

I am open to correction on this, from any of the pj population that frequent AH's

That's so weird! So they change out of their "bed" pjs into their "good" pjs when it would take just as much time to put on some actual clothes!! :pac:
    The mind boggles!

I don’t buy into formal wear, so I don’t recognise the other end of the spectrum either, still… like wearing a Aloha shirt at a funeral, most people will think you’re a tool.

I think it’s perfectly acceptable to wear pyjama pants out!!!
If your wrestling career is on the UP and macho man randy savage is wearing his, then by all means go for it!!
Or if you happen to be lucky enough to be invited to Hugh Heffner’s birthday at the mansion, YES YOU CAN!!

BUT!!! If you were to join the queue at my local tesco and expect to be taken serious as a NON scumbag?
I would av to say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! In the style of harry enfield!!!
    :D
