Not a noob but wouldn't mind some advice on this as well.

Obviously diet hugely important so cleaning up this but not too bad. Dont drink alcohol. No fast food.

Still cant shift in the middle area to the extent I want. Four well balanced meals a day. Fruit in between. Plenty of water.

A weeks excercise play astro and run about 15k on treadmill, walk about 25k with dog. Use bike and cross trainer as well. Lift weights to a decent extent.

Do about 2 20 min sessions of sit ups and no joy

32, 5.10 and 76 kg. Did a load of cardio as kickboxed up until June so have a base.

Never had a hint of abs let alone visible.

Really would appreciate some in dept advice. I literally feel like I want to excercise the midrift area like you would lift weights in a bicep curl or something

OP - if you gradually cut back on the carbs (especially refined carbs), you'll soon notice your abs beginning to appear.

With or without ab exercises, we all have 6 packs already - even as newborn babies.

It's just that most people have a layer (or 2!) of fat covering their abdominal area, making it impossible to see their 6 packs.

That's why nutrition, and not ab exercises, is all-important - despite what late night informercials would have you believe......

^^^^^ So true, those ad's mislead people all the time. AB's will start to come in at around 10-12%, and really start to pop when you get dipping below 10% (Mightnt be the same for everyone, but thats the kinda percentages with me on the calipers), so sort your diet and cardio out, then get ready to say hello mr.six-pack

The above is true regarding diet and abzz but that's not to say ab exercises are no use. You need a strong core to do almost any athletic activity and for the me the best exercises are roll outs, planks, knee/leg raises, russian twists, side bends, side planks. There's others too but I prefer the anti-flexion, anti-rotation ones myself.
