    Thanks Licksy.

I'm on Donald, Watney and Stricker at the moment, plus some small patriotic wagers on the Irish lads and €1.50 e/w on Ed Molinari just purely because of the potential value.

Will look at getting on Mickelson in running at some stage but I figured his price was much too low to get on from the start.

Best golfing weekend of the year starts here :D

Unlikely I know, but any links for the early coverage?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 369 ✭✭irishmanmick

Really looking forward to this weekend ... If only I wasn't in work today and tomorrow!!

    Missed the who will win thread but my bets are;

Donald, Harrington and KJ Choi all each way. Picking an outright winner is like trying to pick the winner of the grand national!

    Let the games begin ...:D

I have Bubba E/W, Gmac to be the highest placed player from GB&Ireland and Mickleson to win.

Have Poulter each way ... and Bubba !!!!!:D:D

Lunacy that the whole thing is not shown live in this day and age with all the sports channels out there.

    Also...Ross fisher bogies the first

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 1,874 ✭✭✭Brain Stroking

Have gone for Ricky Fowler e/w at 66/1, Jerry Kelly e/w at 225/1 and Gary Woodland e/w at 150/1. Sky bought the rights so why not live all day?

  • Subscribers Posts: 4,419 ✭✭✭PhilipMarlowe

It's all part of life's rich pageant... :)

Just wait until The Open if you want wall to wall coverage... now that's a weekend of golf...

It is the tournament committee decides on coverage.

Just so I understand the leader board on the masters website...
O'Hair has started 0,0 so I assume he is par after 2.
Fisher has started 1,0 so is he 1 over or did he birdie the second to go back to par ?

Don't be afraid to click his name, all will be revealed!
Or click traditional view at the bottom left if you just want to see the current status without the hole by hole progression...

Fisher was the first to bogey and then the first to birdie.

Stiill no leaderboard on the masters app.

And Im aware who decides the coverage...it's the decision I'm questioning.

I bet way too much. Every year its the same.... keep getting "feelings" and throwing a bet down. I'm on 8 players at this stage

20 on Mickelson for Win (might put another 20).
10 EW on Rory / Dustin Johnson / Watney.
5 EW on Ogilvy / Fowler / Bubba
    2.50 EW on Heath Slocum

Going to need a win and a couple of places :D

Missed the prediciotn thread but it's a horses for courses course, I expect the same old faces to be up there, Woods would have been where my money would have went, just like him to come out all guns blazing at Augusta.

Of the Irish, think Rory is too loose, Harrington might do okay his form seems to be returning but I think McDowell is the best chance of the 3.

Good start from Jerry Kelly and his odds slash from 225/1 to 150/1. This guy is one of the best putters out there this year and has one of the best scoring averages. Could be a contender

I hope you are right about Phil, i hope he will drift to 10's where i would be more than happy to back him, I have my small 5e/w done on K.J, Ian Poulter and Carl Swartzel. 10e/w on Donald and Dustin Johnson. I hope I have a couple in contention late on sunday night

Or, for a handy pocket sized work-friendly option, click on the pop-out link on the buttom right of the screen. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't be using the official site - too messy for me.

PH will lead after R1 and miss the cut.
RFlood will be tied to a tree on magnolia lane covered in honey.

    Cork?? :P

Im finding myself more interested in who's going to be the best amateur this year.

Sweet little shot in to the 3rd by McIlroy via the video above...

I agree that the official site (leaderboard) is too messy. I like the hole-by-hole view from the old europeantour website where you can visually see who's leading, how many holes they've played and the trends on particular holes at a glance.... that and you can see a bunch op players at the same time, not just a couple taking up vast amounts of screen acreage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,736 ✭✭✭ssbob

Did anyone watch the coverage of Mcilroys 4th hole, he birdied but it looks as if he putted the wrong ball.......maybe the camera is playing tricks from different angles?

    nope, missed that one meself.

padraig off and running now -1 through 5

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,866 ✭✭✭Panrich

I see that about the 4th and McIlroy. Surely it's not an error. It must be a trick but there was a ball suspiciously placed and they wouldn't have too many camera angles at these holes.

  • Subscribers Posts: 4,419 ✭✭✭PhilipMarlowe

There's two bunkers on 4, guarding the front.
His ball goes to the back fringe and seems to end just past pin high.
Then the putt is clearly taken from the front (bunker side) of the pin.
It hardly ended up there??? Looks dodgy, especially when there already was a ball around that position as he teed off

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 462 ✭✭Suspiria79

I'd say Rory has a better vantage point where he is than where you are

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 92 ✭✭CFG92

Good recovery from Nick Watney to turn -1 after being +2 through 6
Good start from Jerry Kelly and his odds slash from 225/1 to 150/1. This guy is one of the best putters out there this year and has one of the best scoring averages. Could be a contender

Not looking so good now +4 through 12
