Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

I must have a heart made of stone, but that mawkish rainbow bridge crap makes me sick. Dogs, like people, die, that's it, the end. If they were lucky they lived a good life with decent owners who cared for them and treated them well.
