Anyone a member of the Glenroyal Gym, Maynooth?

    Hello all,

    Plan on joining the Glenroyal gym, pretty much for the swimming pool, but may as well use the gym if I'm paying for it. What are the free weights section like, and is it busy at around 17:30 to 20:30 midweek?

    Looking forward to getting back to swimming.

    Apologies, not meaning to thread steal here. :)

    I'm moving to Maynooth in a few weeks and plan on joining this gym as well. Be very interested in hearing answers to the OP questions, especially how crowded the weight section can get!

    i dont know much about that gym, but have you considered the college gym?

    im not to sure can it be used by people other that students but i presume it can :confused:

    the biggest problem is it doesn't have a pool but it has all the machines, treadmills, bikes, rowers, and a small free weights section but it also has a separate weights room downstairs for the heavy lifters

    during the year it can be quite busy at peak times but i cant imagine it being very full during holidays or weekends.

    worth looking into at least...
