    Portland Timbers.

It's my favourite city in the US.

    FC Dallas.

    Because JR Ewing owns them.

Real Salt Lake.... as opposed to that fake one.

Red Bulls. Because New York is one of the greatest places on earth and their jersey is nice.

Gotta go with the Rapids and support Caleb Folan's new club. Scored his first goals for them on Sunday.

Would love to go for New York but purely cos Henry plays for them I won't support that cheating backstard

It's got to be the Seattle Sounders.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,549 ✭✭✭recyclops

    La Galaxy
Main reason Landon Donovon, his facebook does be funny, seems like a genuine enough guy also if anyone was in the woolshed when he scored against algeria youd understand bit like this whole video

Chivas USA...they have ultras and a cool red/white striped kit! They are meant to have a pretty noisy set of fans, more European, latin style fans than typical USA.

    New York Red Bulls.

I've gone for Toronto, mainly due an ex-Sunderland player and cult hero Danny Dichio being a club legend there.

From what I've read they're well supported and regularly get sell out crowds, along with being a well run and profitable side.

Sounders - they cured Freddie Ljungberg's hip injury ( may have been Chicago actually, in which case just use ; they played Fred ), Jersey, and they are my super team in fifa.

I've gone for the San Jose Earthquakes.

With the disasters that we've had in Japan and New Zealand, it'd make a difference to be cheering for the earthquakes for a change.

    Timbers!

Anyone but the Red Bulls lads in fairness. Henry is still a cnut

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,919 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Chi-town baby! First MLS team I went to see when I lived there.

Soft spot for the Timbers too as I've been closely following their entry to the league. Interesting story.

Tried the Fire when I started watching first since I also support the bears & bulls but I couldn't get into it. Not many care about the Fire in Chicago. Big sports city just not a soccer city :(. Shame.

I went with the Sounders - Great bunch of lads.

Seattle Sounders, their stadium is too ****ing cool.

New York red bulls they have an amazing stadia and I love the city and henry. Lads it was clearly ball to hand get over it and move on it's 2011 :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,326 ✭✭✭Zapp Brannigan

I picked the Whitecaps because I'm currently living in Vancouver and can go see their games!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,455 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Well I'm a Revs fan. I was at their very first game and was a season ticket holder for a couple of years at the beginning.

Frank Stapleton was their first manager so theres something for Arsenal and United fans to like about them. And Steve Nicol is the coach there now so Liverpool fans would have a reason to shout for them too.

    Go Sounders :D

Here's a crazy thought to all those that don't follow a LOI team go and adopt one of them, instead of following a MLS team, you might actually see a football match every now and again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

Im in Toronto, so ill have Toronto FC

That's the kinda thing that makes me not want to follow a LOI team.

I chose Sporting Kansas City based on their name (City in it) and the pale blue jersey...........Clicked on it and saw no-one else had picked them

Checked and saw there are in 9th position so that explains that then...:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭partyndbs

u picked them coz city is in their name it just means theyre from kansas city

Agh, I have to bite as it's annoying me and I'll take an infraction for back seat modding but text language is against the charter of the board. And please, please, for the good of humanity, put in some punctuation!

if revolution win im not gona follow them. Im sorry but theyve the worst supporters ive ever seen in any league. Zero passion in the sport there

Sounders for me, did briefly think of voting dc united but have to go with a club that pulls in 36 thousand every week, who create genuine atmosphere and have a great kit. Hopefully they might start to win the odd game too!

rsl are the barcelona of the mls so for those wanting to go for a true footballing team its them. their coach jason kreis has done unreal with them turning them from no hopers into concecaf champions league finalists within a few seasons. hes many peoples choice to replace bradley either soon or after the 2014 wc cycle.
