    Hey guys,

I'm sure this is the umpteenth time someone has asked something along these lines but i'm sure you'll help to the best of your ability nonetheless.

I've decided to do a protein only diet with the exception of a breakfast containing my daily intake of carbs.

I'm eating maybe 3 chicken breasts, a protein shake, and milk, as well as going to the gym doing some sprints to encourage fat loss and lifting weights to maintain strength and size.

What i'd like to know is, if there's anything else i should be doing to encourage fat loss, whilst maintaining lean mass.

Technically speaking i'd love to lose at least 4 pound of pure fat itself.

Will this protein diet ensure i don't lose mass or is it an inevitability due to my carb restrictions?

    Cheers.

Three at a time, or all day?...

What's your weight, height, BF% and estimated calories and macros on this diet? It all depends on the actual values.

Can I just ask what good 4 lb of pure fat loss will be to you if you end up in hospital with severe vitamin and mineral deficiency due to you eliminating healthy fats completely from your diet and severely restricting your carbohydrate intake?

Do you think that a healthy, balanced diet is recommended for fun?

Here is a video from a PT who posts on these forums (Forum name is Transform).

    Notice his physique

Here is a post where he discusses nutrition for fat loss and weight gain

Check out this post from Hanley (He is the one back row, far right with no top on). He did not get that physique by neglecting healthy fats and carbs either.

You do not need to go on a protein only diet to have low body fat. Eating properly (protein, fats & carbs, mostly from fibrous sources such as veg and some fruits) coupled with resistance training and HIIT/conditioning workouts (think crossfit metcon type workouts) will help you shed body fat.

no need to go all keto just to shift 4lbs of fat, for christ sakes. By all means fill your diet with protein and just keep an eye on your carbs but cutting them out altogether will make you a crazy, crazy person. i don't mean you'd have to be crazy to do it, i mean it'll have an effect on your mental stability. and i'd be willing to bet the weight would go right back on fairly soon. make realistic permanent changes to your diet, don't be doing this radical lark.

Exactly what are you eating in a typical day. Foods as well as amounts.
