I will absolutely love Hotel for sure, and to a lesser extent Convoy as well.

Hotel and Stockpile.
Hopefully at least two of them will be small maps.

There better be one hell of a decent map on there. Only Stadium is worthwhile to play for any extended period in the old map pack.

Stockpile is alright. But Hotel just looks like broken glass instead of snow.

Kowloon isn't bad from the first map pack, but overall there were bigger maps there. Hopefully we'll have some smaller maps this time around.

havent played it in weeks, last game I played was a snorefest so I just gave up.

It says on the poster, first on Xbox?! can anyone confirm? i thought the exclusivity deal ended with the first map pack, ill be very disappointed if it came out on Xbox first, not cos of fanboyism but due to lack of respect and money-whoring by activision.

Well in Mw2 "the darkside" got both map packs a month early so I assume it will be the same this time round.

I think I'm finished with Blops now, have gone back to MW2 and having way too much fun. i think the two map packs for mw2 are in order

Unless Sony decide to buy exclusivity for the map pack then it will always arrive first on the xbox simply because xbox live is a paid service. Companys will favour a revenue making stream over a method that doesn't get the any slice of the pie. If and when PS3 players pay for their connection in sufficient numbers then we'll see it who developers favour.

I'd imagine there is little difference in the price of the actual map pack across systems so it comes down to which system has the greater market potential/easier to release the map packs for/greater percentage of each sale going to Treyarch/etc.

Some pc gamers think that Black Ops is poorly designed/constructed to run on pcs and after the complaints over non-dedicated servers from MW2 aren't going to pay for a game with obvious flaws & limitations.

Yeah your right, i do get why they get it first, You get what you pay for i suppose, honestly i don't mind waiting a extra month because i play free online.

Its just the Xbox fanboy's tend to shove it down your throat and claim their's the superior console. I hate fanboysim, and money whoring corporations.

But the thing that really grinds my gears is that i did read somewhere credible(wish i could remember source) that the exclusivity deal ended with the first map pack and would be released simultaneously for all platforms in the future, and was well happy when reading this. Now ill be reduced to watching YouTube videos of the new zombies map for a month again, eagerly awaiting its arrival on PS3

this would indicate that the deal was originally meant to finish next year and truthfully I can see microsoft trying to do all they can to expand it even further

In all fairness there's Summit, Array, Discovery and now the new one. They could put in a Jungle type map or something.

I agree somewhat. But I'm still not entirely fussed about more snow maps. The map structure is all important. Discovery I think looks great for a snow map but the layout is really unbalanced. One side is made for campers.

I'd like another map with the same colour pattern as Stadium, which is probably the most aesthetically pleasing map in the game. I hope Hotel provides this but who knows.

There's too many snow maps. They're boring at this stage. It's an opinion. **** off.

I hope one of them is a midway between nuketown and firing range small. I like those extremely fast paced games on small maps.

Grid, Berlin Wall, WMD all have a snowy look too. They really need something different. I would love one in trenches like in single player mission when the tet offensive happens.

I haven't played the single player, but isnt it set in the cold war ? Might be why theres a few snow maps I like them anyway.

a proper CQB would be nice fully indoors over multiple floors not just the usual 2 floors that we've seen. similar to Vacant in MW2 but with multiple floors

Granted some maps do look very dull... a fine mix of beige, brown and gray throughout but its the actual structure of the map that makes good or not... I prefer the CQC of stadium, summit and nuketown..

We need smaller, more intimate maps with perhaps a few levels, (cracked is the only map I can think of with 3 floors at any point).

And I suppose a bita color wouldnt go astray but does it reeeeally matter if its snowy.. :rolleyes:

I'm fed up with snow maps on black ops. The are 3/14 in the multiplayer and now 2/8 in the map packs so 5/22 overall. I love snow but christ the campaign covers WW2 to vietnam and not all those wars were fought in snow. There was sod all fighting in the cold war, it described the general frosty atmosphere between the participants, not the theatre of war.

Ade mentioned Eder Dam earlier but even though it's a class level from cod 3 it wouldn't work as the vehicles made that level. Driving across the broken bridge with the flag carrier in a sidecar with a gun car coming after you was epic fun. There was some epic fights to take and hold the bridge tunnel with snipers/trenchguns all taking turns at decimating teams. I don't think you could redo that level without vehicles, ziplines wouldn't cut it.

I'd prefer Rouen to be remade, it's a small pokey level with a 3 storey building in the middle of a main street, sandwiched by a line of 2 storey houses which overlook your spawn/objective and the main street. It has house to house fighting and open areas with good lines of sight. If they did it Vietnam style during daytime it would be a winner.

maybe something like chinatown from COD4. plent of levels, hopping out f windows on to roofs and stuff. Kwaloon kinda reminds me of it but chinatown is in my opinion far better

Yup that's pretty much what I said. I think it's minor issue as I eluded to yesterday. Priority should be on the general structure and balance of the map. I think only Array really sucks in that regards but besides that, the rest of them are grand for the most part. Discovery is a tad imbalanced IMO. But the rest are fine and I'm happy with that.

A fresher pallet of colour would be nice but I won't kick up a fuss about it myself now.
