    Hi Scott,

    Welcome to boards:)

Not counting windows and doors, the shed will have a total wall area as follows:
    Two side walls, 10 ft long by 9 ft high: 2 x 10 x 9 = 180 square feet
    Two end walls, 8ft ft long by 9ft high: 2 x 8 x 9 = 144 square feet
    324 square feet in total

For one cavity block roughly 9 inches tall by 18 inches long,
the total area filled is 0.75 feet x 1.5 feet = 1.125 square feet

    324 divided by 1.125 = 288
So you'll need roughly 288 blocks, less whatever area that will be filled by windows and doors.
