    This is mine - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qFwM1hkiyg

Seems to give me the jump start i need in the morn although it has led me to despise the song as i associate it with work now...

Anyways lets see what else is there to offer

My alarm clock sounds like death and depression. The death knell.

    At least, on Mondays...

I always wake up just before it goes off so I rarely actually hear it. Its set to the radio so RTE radio 1 wakes me up.

Just choose any video on YouTube. If it's waking me up on a Monday morning, it sounds like death and depression to me.

    This probably would kill me:

Now it's one of the few iPhone ones Timba or something but in secondary school I could never get out of bed so I set my stereo to track 2 on Pantera's Reinventing the steel. Came on sudden and loud and I would practically jump outta the top bunk to turn it off. Got me up though and my little brother hated it so it all worked out well.

Fairly relaxing piano, that gradually gets louder and faster if i dont walk up straight away. Also, it's an amazing song.

Usually some gentle soothing classical music to ease me into the day. At the moment I have this as my alarm music:

I have a custom MP3 clip from a film, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry (1974) as the alarm tone on my phone. Its about 2-3 seconds of Susan George screaming "Hey,A$$HOLE !" at Peter Fonda.

Mine goes *Beep Beep Beep* or sometimes *Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep*, Its the most horrible sound i know. I leave my alarm clock on the other side of the room, so that noise to me, means a half asleep scramble across the room falling over stuff, to turn it off.

My alarm clock sounds like an alarm clock, because I want it to sound like an alarm clock.

Mine's a really really loud, really grating alarm noise (it's an alarm clock radio thing). It kinda sounds like a robot being raped. Makes me hate mornings :(

Currently the Zwan album kicks in at decent volume on the other side of the room, followed a few minutes later by REM on my phone, which needs me to do some math to turn it off.

Need happy songs to wake up to, otherwise the day's a write off.

*BWAAHH* *BWAAHH* *BWAAHH*
    **SMASH**

Edit: "Bwaahh" refers to the roaring beep of my alarm clock. Not a baby crying, which I just realised it sorta looks like...

My alarm clock just beeps...but it does shine the time on the ceiling which is kind of cool *nerd*:o:p

I had one of those novelty alarm clocks, where the alarm is a woman moaning in the depths of orgasm.
Thing is, at 7am, when you've been woken suddenly, it just sounds like she's being hacked to bits by Jack the Ripper or Larry Murphy and not a great way to start your day.

Nothing like a bit of guitar to wake up to in the morning

Mine sounds like "Get out of bed you lazy bastard. You'll be late for work". Oddly enough, it hasn't changed at all in the last year.

I learned not to use a song I liked as an alarm clock because I will grow to hate it and subconsciously shudder every time I hear it. Even songs I used as an alarm years ago give me a horribly uncomfortable feeling when I hear them now.

Although a reason for that could be that I used this song for years:

This is mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMFWFhTFohk fades in nice and softly I usually wake pretty quickly but if I don't in the 1st minute and 20 seconds the song kicks in hard and stirs me promptly into action.

Does nobody at all have a "clock" with two bells on the top?

This was known as an Alarm Clock.

A little hand on the face could be ....ah jeebus I'm wasting my time here. Time! Geddit?

Interesting truth nugget about that song that makes me sad: It was written as an overture thats played before the opera starts, so this was played while people were getting into their seats and nothing else was happening :D

Oh, one of those? Yes, I used to, quite a while ago. Now I've got a cute little wind-up travel clock with an alarm bell. You must see it sometime. You'd fall in love with it.

Good possibility we have the same alarm clock, does it beep twice for a bit, then beep three times for a bit, then beep four times for a bit more, till you wanna throw the damn thing out the window.

It's got two alarms so I like to play snooze-fuckery with myself. Set one alarm for 6.30 and the second one for 6.45 - factor in a 7 minute snooze cycle and by getting up time, you don't know how many snoozes you've had and when the next one is - although you can see the time on the ceiling (or hubby's butt, if you've knocked the projector off-kilter during the snoozefest)
