Diet plan/sample menus?

    Hi,

Im 5'4'' and currently weigh about 127lbs/around 9stone. Ive been everything from 11 stone to 8 stone. I feel my best at the lower end of the scale so Id like to get a healthy and sustainable plan to get to, and keep, around the 8stone.

My current regime is a whatevers there Ill have it type diet and I know its not healthy. I snack a lot. I have a tendency to eat late at night, is the 'no food after 7pm' a good rule to stick to?

I've started drinking two litres of water a day and cutting out caffeine apart from 1-2 cups of black coffee if Im on an early shift. I also started drinking a lot of berry smoothies, 1 every other day (2 bananas, 2 oranges, raspberries, blackberries, blueberrys and 1/4 tub of natural yoghurt). I was then told this is probably way too much sugar in all the fruit-opinions?

As for diet, what should I be eating?? Im useless at breakfast (early shift in work @ 6am so dont feel like eating that early). On these shifts I usually dont eat til around 10am (usually a beef wrap or something). At around 3pm Ill have a bagel and coffee and then usually pasta and chicken again for dinner at around 7pm. I try getting veg in there as much as possible and making homemade sauces with fresh ingedients. Ill snack at around 9 (usually popcorn). Trying to stop that tho :o

How bad is my diet?? Any recomendations for someone working shift with irregular working hours?

My excercise isnt as good as it could be either. I used to go to the gym every second morning for 30mins-1 hour but I cant afford membership anymore. I have a desk job so am fairly immobile during the day. I walk 10 mins in the mornings and 20mins or so in the evenings. I try to do sit ups and I rock out to my kinect as much as possible but Im usually wrecked tired.

My goals are to lose a few pounds, and just get healthier in general but I know im going to have to make it habitual to make a plan work. Any ideas??

    Thank you!
