yes i can, was shown how off a friend, but what i cant do is what he can,

his party piece is opening a bottle of beer with a lighter, flicking the cap off a wall, turning around while putting the lighter in his pocket and catching the cap, it is very impressive

What is it about some people who drink beer that they are very proud of being able to open a beer bottle with their belt, or a slice of cheese, or a whole host of everyday objects. So what?

I used to use my teeth but since I had to replace all the broken ones with false teeth I can't anymore:)

Ingenuity my friend...thinking outside the box. Think mcgyver, with a paunch.

    Bottle opener
    Bar blade
    Lighter
    Keys
    Brick
    Table
    Piece of paper

The most satisfying is the bar blade, pops and everyone looks over to see whats going on.

Can't manage it with another bottle though, just can't get the angle right.

It might be ingenious for my 12 year old godson to come up with exciting and new ways to open beer bottles, but for an adult? And then not only to have made a great achievement of opening a bottle of beer, the adult has to rush off and tell everyone else about it?

Can open them with pretty much anything.... Smacked a girl in the face with the cap one evening after using a lighter. Priceless moment with no regrets.

Opening a bottle with a lighter is easy once you establish the correct technique. It's a class one lever and the fulcrum (i.e. the index finger of the hand holding the bottle) should be located as close to the cap as possible, with plenty of length on the other side of the lever to apply sufficient torque.

I have Mr. Burns level strength so anyone should be able to do it.
