    if you're in a gym why dont you have a fitness assessment? you're paying for their service. sometimes in gyms there can be a fitness instructor who is working privately (with the ok of the gym) so you could pay extra for that if you dont think the instructors will be appropriate for your needs. any of the instructors should be able to help you with diet too..

    its a small college gym with no help but i will possibly be joining a local one over the summer where hopefully ill get more direction on weights etc

    i meant to post this in nutrition and have done so since,ill get this deleted

    ah well then if you can afford probably about 30 euro, get yourself a private trainer (unless they dont have any access) to go into the gym with you and talk you through the specialist advice that you need....
