A wet and sometimes very windy day in Castlebar.Earlier at Knock airport Ryanair flight RYR31QW(EI-DAC) experienced Wind shear on short finals,a second attempt was made and it was experienced again at 500ft.The flight diverted to Dublin.

Breezy evening has been exchanged for persistent, heavy, almost thundery rain here for the last 20-30mins as seen from those pink and red returns on Met.ie radar.

Stunning sky here now with the sunset, blue skies overhead but the clouds on the horizon are a bright pink, contrasting against the dark blue/gray of the shower clouds in the distance. Best sunset I've seen since the snow & fog back in December
