Used to be more of a shower person, now I love baths because you can be as lazy as hell and still come out clean.

Showers are so high maintenance, mmaaaaaaan.

That nonsense. Look people, the filth is very, very dilute and soap is not bacteria's friend so there's feck all to worry about on that score.

Apparently **** in the bath in dangerous...you can overheat and give yourself heatstroke because you're surrounded by hot/warm water.

Don't ask where I read that but it makes sense!

I love, LOVE, to lie off in a pipin hot bath & drink an ice cold glass of white wine while reading a magazine.
The wine & wine glass is put into the freezer an hour before I get into the bath & I can only read a magazine, usually a trashy one, because I don't like to ruin books.
For anyone who does like a bath put a few drops of baby oil in it. Your skin is amazing at the end of it :)

How I'm starting to feel like I'm gonna pass out as I've made the water too hot again:( Long soaks in hot baths aren't for me.

I would too, if I weren't so preoccupied with not having my own bath.

Firstly - the water's too hot (when getting in inch by inch).

Later, brrrrr - the water's getting a little bit chilly. I really should get out. (Leading to ten minutes of persuading myself to pull the plug. and face the open air.)

But; the 15 minutes or so in the middle, when the water is just right.. Ahhhh - blissful relaxation with happy thoughts. Usually, I bring in a book and get a few pages in before just sinking down into lovely hot water.

Hmmmm - gonna turn on the water-heater contraption. Bath tonight!! :)

I would think your book would get a lot wetter in a shower then it would in a bath!!

I like submerging my ears in the water. I like how the sound becomes muffled and if you shut your eyes you can pretend you're elsewhere.

Whether the ratio of piss to water has finally shifted in the direction of piss.

Thats my cue to get out.

The last time I had a bath was in Ibiza 2002 and I hadn't a clue what I was at, lucky I didn't drown

I actually haven't lived in a house with a bath for a while...

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,382 ✭✭✭Poor Craythur

Would hate to live somewhere without a bath. They're handy for other stuff too, like hand-washing large items like duvets and whatnot.

As opposed to the shower, where your pages stay dry...
