hi im 6"3 and am almost 14 stone ( 12 stone 6 months ago) ive been in the gym about 6-7 months now and about 2 months ago i noticed little barely noticable strech marks around my armpits but now they are 10 times worse i hate it and its really putting me off working out :( i never notice anybody else in the gym having this but me.

anybody here experience this? if so what did you do to prevent it or whatever?..i researched online and saw alot about some butter liquid or something and that people even went to surgery to get rid of them, are they really pernament:(? like im very tall and skinny so i obviously gave my body a shock putting on some muscle etc

what do it do? i love the gym and the fact im slowly going from a bone to actualy having some muscle but if these marks continue ill have no choice but to pack it up:(

    They should fade over time.

If they're around your armpits they shouldn't be that noticeable.

im mean round the front and back of them...so they are notible like :(

are you shure they will fade? the internet seems to say they are basicly pernament and can only reduce their appearance.

im gona try that cocoa butter and other things the net reccomended hopefully they appear less notible in a few months, really destroys your confidence like.

They won't disappear, but they'll fade a good bit in time. I've had them on my thighs since I was a teenager, and you can barely see them now, they've gone a far lighter colour.

You probably notice them far more than anyone else tbh, and sure if your physique is improving it's a small price to pay!:)

Just E45 Moisturising cream, but I don't know if it made much of a difference. It was really just a case of waiting til they faded. They won't stay that dark for long though, honestly, try not to worry too much about it.

Palmers coconut butter is supposed to be good. At least that's what's recommended for pregnant women.

I had those sort of deep purple ones, they've since faded significantly and are now sort of silver. Once summer comes round and I can get a bit of a tan they're virtually invisible. I didn't use any creams, they faded by themselves.

If you're getting them on your hips, I'd say you eating too much and getting fat to be honest.

I use bio-oil for a new scar on my lip.
It's a skin tear so not dis-similar to stretch marks.

    Months not weeks needed

I've them on my stomach pretty much from being a fat kid, losing all the weight, then putting it all back on again. Bio oil is supposedly the best stuff for getting rid of them. I haven't tried it (as I don't give a rats ass how my gut looks), but most of the girls in the office have and they swear by it.

I wouldn't worry too much about them, everyone gets them at some point. If they're the worst thing to happen to you because of training, count yourself lucky.
