Pushed myself to my limit

    Really pushed myself to my limit yest and when I was leaving the gym my arms/hands were trembling a little.

    This is a sign of a good workout isnt it?

    I felt so elated and happy. It was weird. Cant wait to go back this evening.

    First time I went into a gym, I got a little worried for a minute when I noticed my general weakness + shakes after my workout.
    Turns out I had pushed too hard, I knew something was up. A few minutes after leaving the locker room I felt very faint and dizzy, next thing I knew I was chucking up into a bin :o Don't push yourself too hard! You'll end up doing that or injuring yourself.

    EDIT: Would I be right in saying it's the release of adrenaline that causes this shaking etc.? (for anyone that knows about this!)

    you could be right, after you are in a fight well my at lesit i start shaking and stuff

    Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) Id say is the more likely to be the cause of your shakes.

    It might be, but then again it could be that you didn't eat enough before working out. I'd never use physical sensation as a guide to how good or bad a session was, it's much too subjective. It's much better to use something objective i.e. strength gains. A good workout is one where I meet or exceed the strength goals I've set for the session.

    This happened to me before, having went to the gym on an empty stomach. Happened as well when I did the bleep test without anything to eat.

    Any particular foods ye'd recommend before a gym session?
