Misaligned Hips

    Hi,

I'm suffering from numerous aches and pains around my body, I think the cause could be down to misaligned hips.

I can reach down a good 5 inches further on my right side than on my left side. My femur protrudes on the top of my left leg to the side which it doesn't on my right leg. I noticed when I walk my left leg from the knee down seems to angle out to the left as I walk.

When I do squats I get a sharp pain in my left knee occasionally, as I result I don't do them anymore because it feels as if I could do serious damage to my knee. My hip joints on both legs click really loudly on both legs when I do the rowing boat excercise for abs and core.

As well as the above I've have a sore back when performing certain tasks. When I do anything which requires my arms to be out in front of me such as washing the dishes or hanging up clothes I gut a really sore muscular pain in both sides of my upper back which absolutely exhausts me. By the time I'm finished I literally need to just lie down on a couch.

I should probably add that I am flat footed and wear orthotics. I quit playing football three years ago as I kept getting less and less able for the strains of it on my body. I'm 26 and I think misaligned hips could be the cause. The older I got the tighter my left hamstring seems to be getting and as a result strained it more and more as I got older playing football.

Does anyone know any physios or excersises that would be relevant for my situation?

Id say get to a physio, never smart diagnosing yourself.

Il leave this thread open only for people to give a mention of a physio who is good in the area like the OP asked. It might be wise if you gave your location OP. Remember, no medical advice allowed.

I live in Swords Dublin so if anyone knows any good physios who could help me let me know. Cheers. Also just curious if anyone else has had similar symptoms.

Isn't there a really good sports injury place in Swords, or is that only surgery?

Do you mean the sports injury clinic in Santry? I've heard it's very good, so good in fact I'm going there on Thursday to see if they can put my knee back together.

Go to www.iscp.ie or www.cppp.ie and there's a find a physio in your area link on those pages. They are official pages for Chartered Physiotherapists
