Just a quick one on the position of my hands when doing this exercise.
What are the longer terms effects of positioning my hands further apart on the machine opposed to closer together.

What would happen if I used one position exclusively and what would you recommend.

    Thanks.

Hypothetically, wider (ie where the handle bends) will probably put more pressure on your shoulders long term.

Shorter periods (say 4-8 weeks) of that position probably won't have a negative effect. But they probably won't have a significant benefit either.

If it was me, and I was doing pulldowns, I'd probably just roatate between hands 4-6 inches outside shoulder width (so that when you're at the bottom of the ROM they'd be pretty much perpendicular to the floor), neutral grip and 'reverse'/chin up grip.

And don't be afraid of owkring towards proper pull ups either.

    Thanks for the helpful explanation,
Suppose I will just rotate for a few weeks at a time and see what the results are and how im feeling.
