Phrases you are sick of hearing on boards

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion".

I'd like to hear from anyone on here who doesn't think someone is entitled to their opinion. From the number of times you hear this phrase you would think half the people here don't think people are entitled to their opinion.

Who on boards actually thinks people aren't entitled to their opinion ?

It makes me cringe when I hear this. I get the impression some people say this sort of thing so they can validate themselves as some sort of good moral person.

It means "you make the claim, you back it up". Burden of proof.

As for OP's opinion phrase, I find it's usually the last resort of someone losing an argument and can't back up what they're saying so they get defensive and natter on about being entitled to opinions.
Well sometimes your opinion is wrong.

'Scumbag(s)' being used to describe everyone............

Someone murders their entire family - true scumbag
    The Government - scumbags
    Junkies - scumbags
Somebody accidentally bumping into you - scumbag
Little kid playing football outside your house - scumbag
Shopworker accidentally short-changing you - scumbag
Someone with a different opinion - scumbag
Someone who gets drunk on St Patricks Day - scumbag
Someone on the dole, through no fault of their own - biggest scumbag ever

Some of the above are genuine scumbags, most of them are not!!

    "Rag Paper"

Are there any decent newspaper in Ireland according to boardsies.

    Sun/Star/Mirror/Redtops - Rag Paper
The Herald - Fat Freddies personal front page rag paper
    The Indo/SIndo - FF's political rag paper
Irish Times - Posho rag paper
The Daily Mail - A right-wing west brit rag paper.
The Guardian - A left wing commie hippy rag

    "THIS"

Quoting a post and then just saying "this" because you couldn't be arsed posting something yourself. Most annoying thing I've seen online in a long time.

The genius's who respond first in a thread with cool story bro. It's as bad as the Yore Ma crap. I think using that phrase should result in an automatic banning from boards from now on.

Repetitive posts mentioning "pc, liberal, right on" etc. etc. in every single post without actually adding anything of substance.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

"I know this has been posted/asked before but...." Why post it again so,why not use the search function like everyone else?

"Why start a new thread, this has been discussed before"
    or
"Why did you drag up this realy old thread?" and then a mod locks the old thread

What is the correct thing to do so?
    Can't please everyone

For me it's people quoting a massive ropedrink or wibbs length post only to add a single line post. So much scrolling for so little.
