It's never happen unless the the 2 pics are of the same person at different weights etc, all you can do is improve your body comp, hit the weights too if ur not already cardio alone won't cut it imo

You could spend the rest of your life doing cardio and never look like that. It takes a massive discipline and dedicated approach to nutrition. A good solid weights workout AND cardio and a well established set of short medium and long term goals. You need to be consistent and enjoy it.

I would say go and read Tom Venuto's book (check his website out) and learn more. You can't go wrong there.

If you knew what you were doing you could probably get pretty close in 3 months.

This figure is way out. If you go for this you will not achieve that difference in 3 months so ignore the above response. Not to be a dick but you're giving false hope with that tiny timeframe.

The 1st pic - skinny fat - very very little muscle (you can see the lack of muscle in the arms) and a lot of body fat. I'd estimate that he is ~30% body fat.

The 2nd pic - a small amount of muscular development. You can see his pecs and the abs/obliques are fairly visible. Weak shoulders/arms/traps however. The 2nd pic is probably ~10% bodyfat.

Tbh you are looking at the barebones of 1 year. The 1st pic shows absolutely no muscular development and a lot of fat whereas the 2nd pic shows a small amount of devlopment with hardly any bodyfat. To change your body composition like that you would need to be doing weights and cardio consistently for around 1 year if you are dedicated. If you aren't dedicated then you can add probably 1 more year to that figure.

It would be easier to estimate if you could provide a weight for the people in each pic.

True. didn't notice the 2nd pic but he's pretty lean allright. Naturally low BF% without any real effort and probably young enough. Looks pretty lamo now I look back. Needs work on all 4 shouler muscle groups, biceps, triceps, forearsm and chest.

This is a genetically gifted who can eat pizza and still look good.

why do people keep saying the first pic is skinny fat? That's fat fat in my view.

    this is skinny fat:

http://gymidiots.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/skinny-fat.jpg, that is he may look ok in clothes, but there's no way the first one can do that.

Agree'd, the second guy just looks under weight, and has no muscle tone or definition.

Are you more like the person in picture one, and trying to change youre physique? Or is this just a question out of curiosity?

The OP didn't ask that though. If he wants to look like number 2 it's his business and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

Cardio and a good diet won't get there though, you'll need some weight training too.
